At least under Mick (and this no endorsement) 07:38 - Oct 21 with 737 viewstractorboy1978

We had a team of players that was good enough to compete, had players with some quality in the final third and looked like they could win a game.

This side Hurst has built is, on paper, relegation fodder. He's made a dogs dinner of it and isn't setting them up properly either but lets not kid ourselves, any new manager would have a hell of a job on their hands to keep this set of players up.

So if Hurst stays or goes in Laymens terms we are still fkd.

Mick knew what was required in this league, might not have always been fun but he knew what he was doing.

Hurst needed to take a bit of time, and be a bit more humble coming in here. P155ing off senior players, and staff with experience at working at this level was never a good move

The issue is bringing in some one new who is unlikely to have worked with or know of Jackson, Nolan, Nisala and all the other Hurst buys, might take them a few months to get up to speed and by then we will be struggling and really rock bottom.

Not sure we have the quality right now, need investment in Jan and to basically start again, unlikely to be funded.

It goes against my remit of a more progressive manager, but bringing in Burley to steer the ship might not be a bad idea, at least he has seen a lot of the game this season, know the state of affairs, the players limitations and knows the club. Pains me to say this!
