Quote I heard yesterday, and it’s hard to disagree with it.
Joe is right by saying we are the side Hurst would have built had Shrewsbury gone up and he had remained their manager.
It’s hard to see where the goals are going to come from. We diner get enough bodies near Jackson to support him and therefore have to play the balls in the channels for him to chase. Opponents shut down the channels and it’s easy to defend against.
If you don’t score many, you have to be rock solid at the back.... and we’re not - we concede too many easy goals.
We also don’t take care of the ball, and concede possession too easily - see their first goal yesterday and we concede too many set-pieces in dangerous positions, which we then struggle to defend - see their second goal and the two times they hit the woodwork.
