VAR 12:42 - May 12 with 861 views | withyblue | As it looms large for us next season, can anyone think of any of our goals, or goals against us, that would likely have been retrospectively ruled out if we'd had VAR this season, for a foul, handball or offside in the build up? I can think of Preston's second at Deepdale, but no others come to mind.
VAR on 12:45 - May 12 with 839 views | RamRob | Maidstone's winner maybe, Sarmiento blatantly pulled back Only worry I have is Morsy may get sent off by VAR with the better playacting they have in the prem [Post edited 12 May 12:46]

VAR on 12:56 - May 12 with 760 views | LA_Tractor_Boy | IMO your question is the biggest problem with VAR. Clear and obvious errors being overruled is a good thing. But once they have to draw lines, for me it's not offside. Give the advantage to the attacker like the old days. I suspect quite a few of our goals this season, for and against, would have been ruled out. But other than Preston away when the ref apologised, I doubt many were clear and obvious errors.

I do hope that Morsy can keep a lid on some of the niggly off the ball stuff he sometimes does. Var will definitely be a problem for him otherwise!

Agree. I hate it. It ruins spontaneity of goal celebrations if it can be ruled out 2 mins later. At least they're introducing semi-automated offside decisions for the premier league next season which should somewhat improve the experience.

What was wrong with the two Norwich goals (apart from our awful defending)?

Think Barnes offside for second as he was in Hladky eyeline. Maybe Rowe offside for first? Can't remember exactly

I'm not convinced the Coventry winner would have been disallowed, I think Fridge was shoved into an offside position, although I will admit to not knowing what the rules say about that.

First was definitely offside, though not in a way that you could really rage at the lino. Argument that Barnes was in line of keeper (and offside) for second.

On the second they may have been given a penalty against Hirst from memory in VAR also The first was fairly scandalous though

You’ve convinced me. Both goals overturned. Home win. 👍

No concerns with morsey as var is not there to overturn a yellow to a red so wouldn’t even be looked at unless it was deemed dangerous. We would have had loads more penalties, would have given a few more away but no where near what we should have been given.
VAR on 13:30 - May 12 with 444 views | LeoMuff | Fridge would have been in trouble against Argyle at home

VAR on 13:40 - May 12 with 417 views | Ftnfwest | Dewsbury fall would have got another 23 penalties due to being touched, and the proof being on VAR
VAR on 13:48 - May 12 with 394 views | Cheltenham_Blue | The worst thing is, from the Autumn internationals we’ll have SAOT instead of VAR for offsides. VAR will, however still be available as a back up. So SAOT could make no determination and then someone at St George’s park could start drawing lines anyway. There needs to be a change at the top of PGMOL .
