Apparently he’s going to make everyone stay behind after school until the Commons and Lords approve it.

Er, isn’t the point of the two houses voting on a proposed bill to stop idiotic governments of the day putting through idiotic laws??

The odd thing is that Sunak could have done this before now as ping-pong used to go on all night. It suggests they see electoral advantage in dragging things out by seeking to blame Labour for it.

I was amazed when Sunak decided to stick with this complete dud of an idea after inheriting it when he became PM. It was so obviously unworkable, expensive & likely to be challenged endlessly in court. I suppose he stuck with it to keep his right wing happy, but it shows very poor political judgement.
