Guthrum's Estimated Final Table 09:55 - Feb 25 with 1340 viewsGuthrum

After yesterday's games. We haven't moved (tho points total getting better), but have a close look at the top.

Is this a linear extrapolation of the PPG over the previous N number of matches added to the current positions (same for goals etc)?

If we do end up in the playoffs (and that's more likely than not, despite our encouraging return to form), I'd prefer to avoid WBA in the semis. Nice to see Norwich outside the top six though.

Strictly, a reflection of form over the number of matches remaining for each club. But pretty much the same outcome (just without having to round fractions).

Leicester will have to have a pretty bad wobble to finish second. If their goal against Leeds had stood the worst the result for them would have been a draw. Yes Leeds are on the rampage at the moment and I don't see many teams stopping them. The against for us is the vast goal difference between us and Leeds should the points be equal.

It would be a wobble no worse than the 12 games they've just played, as that is what this table is based upon.

The good news being the next game to drop out of the equation is Leeds away.

Followed by three drawn games. The only way is up.

Two games at a time, as we're one further on and one shorter on the sample.

Leeds have gained 6 more points than Leicester over the past 5 games. If that firm continues then Leeds overtake them.

Mad to think that just 8 days ago the gap between Leicester and Leeds/Ipswich was 12 points. Halved in a week.
