Got to feel genuine sympathy for Harry Kane 20:58 - Feb 18 with 2088 viewsCoastalblue

Never going to win anything at Tottenham, deserves a trophy on his CV I would suggest, moves somewhere it really should happen, scores a hatfull and is still unlikely to get his hands on a big shiny trophy.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

He could still lift a trophy in Germany this summer.

That might be a challenge with safety first Southgate at the helm though

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

He gets credit for going abroad and trying something new, but this thing of going to a club who wins trophies every year just so one can add it to their own CV is annoying. He'd have gone down better in football history if he'd stayed at Tottenham, broken Shearer's record, been a one club man and one day maybe won a title with them (unlikely but possible).

You mean Southgate who has achieved something that no other manager has since Sir Alf and got us to a final?

We’ve won the league more recently than Spurs. And we’re about as likely to win it again as they are.

All the more reason for him to stay and try and make some proper history.

I say fair play to him for giving it a go. Must be hard to move a young family to a different country.

With the most talented squad ever, he's underachieving and we all know it, except you it seems

Can’t accept it’s the most talented squad ever. That’s a massive discresdit to the team of brooking and Keegan and several Town players. Also misses the late 90’s and 2000’s squads. They were good too. Personally I th8nk Southgate has done a fantastic job; he’s been very consistent in tournaments.

Mason Mount and Harry Maguire have been in that squad!

I think his England record is fantastic... if you compare it other managers. Deals with media and the pressure of job pretty well. Does a steady job.... but can't say he's much cop at tactical side.. Always seems to be found at crucial times.
Would you be happy for him to replace Mckenna? No way.

It shows the power of Spurs that Mr Spurs is now so Spursy even after leaving them that he's managed to turn Bayern into trophy dodgers. England need to drop him, zero chance of us winning anything with the Spursiest player of all time leading the line.

Genuinely sympathetic for the millionaire sportsman that the glory hunting hasn't worked. Life's tough like that sometimes.

He played for Norwich. He deserves worse than this.
