New Green Day album out today on 23:53 - Jan 19 by Blueschev
Wait until you hear Nirvana.
Another great band from a great era of music. Miss Indie night at the corn exchange and zest/khartouche Mondays, really great nights out with the indie/rock crew.
For any offspring fans, they're still producing good music, in fact it's pretty similar to all their other music (no bad thing)

I’ve never worked out how to post links on here and sure you’ve seen it but if not please look up Foo Fighter Kiss Guy’ (full vids about 9 minutes long and is the pre talk before getting him on stage)

Kiss Guy was very good. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
I also watched Kiss Guy's interview after the event where he said how tall Dave Grohl was, and that when he put Dave Grohl's guitar strap round his own neck the guitar hung so low he was terrified he wouldn't be able to play properly. He played Monkey Wrench very well though, including a small mid track "shred" which was very good all things considered!

I frequented both of those. £1.25 a pint on a Monday was dangerous! Also loved the greebo night on a Wednesday at Sound Academy. Is there anything like that anymore for the yoots?

I've got mixed feelings on Green Day.
Love Dookie, even now 30 years later, and had a lot of time for Kerplunk too (obviously discovered after Dookie, I wasn't ahead of the curve). Nothing after that really grabbed me in the same way though.
The slew of fooking terrible US pop punk bands were a direct result of Green Day though, as labels got the template and watered it down.
I was at the perfect age for those terrible pop-punk bands... I still enjoy them even if I know that they're not really that good.

Generation Terrorists and (especially) The Holy Bible are top albums. Otherwise I can take or leave MSP, at least in terms of albums.
Anyway, lets get to the point.
Greatest band in the world is/was Monster Magnet.

If we doing guitar/grunge bands from the 90,s it's hard to ignore Soundgardens Badmotorfinger, Nirvana's Bleach an Tads Jack Pepsi. Superchunk also 1 of the most underrated bands of that genre, Slack Mother Fecker is a classic of its time.

Monday nights at Hollywoods. Am I showing my age?
Offspring, Rise and Fall was their last good album. Days gone by really didn't hit home at all

Going to see them at Wembley. £125 a ticket, punk’s not dead!
Saw them at O2 academy in Brixton a few years ago. Was a warm up gig before they played Reading Festival. First half of concert they played all of Dookie in album order. Audience loved it!
