I am genuinely abroad, but can’t select and pay for a match pass because it says not available in UK and Ireland. Any ideas or suggestions?

Are you in a hotel? Apparently that can look like a VPN to the system.

Would try from another location - if that doesn’t work you’ll need an (undetectable) VPN!

Have an account and logged in, cleared all history, getting same message. Really weird.

Using mobile data and not in a hotel.

It wouldn't because if it's genuinely abroad it would be connecting to the native mobile network (not EE, Vodafone etc).

More likely that he will need to go outside and hope the GPS updates to recognise it's no longer in the UK. Then log out, clear cache etc and try again.

Until i gave up my EE UK contract here in spain last year I used my data as a hotspot to stream UK content for 4 years, even when I'm connected to the local provider, I dont know why but it does
