https://news.sky.com/story/temperature-related-deaths-on-hot-days-have-more-than

Headline “Temperature related deaths on hot days have more than doubled in 32 years”.

Well that’s not good. This must be bad news.

Scary stats, scary graphs etc

Then .....

“But with rising temperatures resulting in fewer cold related deaths, there has been an overall fall in temperature related deaths in general, the figures show”

Oh.

Then opinion headline....

“Increase in temperatures means more deaths”.

You just said it didn’t ???

I am not a climate change denier before the replies miss the point, i’m making a point about the article itself and maybe a wider one on the media.

And there’s a good chance i’ve misunderstood this....

Not much of a choice, dehydrate to death or freeze to death.

You’d imagine the implication is that cold related deaths will stop falling and heat related will continue to rise. Sorry haven’t read the article yet though!
