It’s nuts. I’m following Wrexhams matches pretty closely this season and they’re flying. To have 2 teams at that level battling it out is making for a fascinating spectacle. They play each other on Monday too at the Racecourse Ground.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

I’m sure it’s happened once or twice way down the pyramid, but for two teams at this high a level to be playing a league match against each other with both on 100 points surely can’t ever have happened.

Yes, had to get elected back in the day. Which was difficult, as the league was an even worse old boys network than it is now.

Good old re-election. Just had a look on wiki - Hartlepool went through that fourteen times!

Amusingly as well, a certain team from Norfolk had the ignominy of having to do it four times.

You mean they should have been relegated 4 more times than they actually have been!

It was as much about whether the other clubs were prepared to re-elect the teams finishing bottom. There's a reason why Workington, Barrow didn't get re-elected, basically the other teams didn't want to go there as its too far.

Well, at least once. If they'd gone down perhaps they wouldn't have returned.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
