I wasn't overly excited by the Hirst signing. Buy ive Just watched some pompey highlights from last season. Wow if we get the Hirst from second half of last season he is unplayable.
The 3-0 win against Rotherham was outstanding, awesome run to set up the harness goal and then brilliant finish for his own goal.
He is fast, powerful and wins headers, looks an upgrade on what we currently have available for number 9 position.
I know you can only take so much from highlights, but the amount of goals / chances he has where the ball has been hit across goal, or cut-back, is something we’ve lacked this season.

Yep. A lot were. Funny old game. I don’t know anything about Hirst other than what’s been said on here, but will wait and see. Hopefully he’ll be just the job - I’m not criticising your OP for being optimistic though. It’s an exciting time to think we may have the missing link, as it were.
