Some are these people are oddballs. BBC news interviewing some woman who’s taken her Mums ashes in an urn to queue up and view the coffin. Because her Mum “loved the Queen”.
My late Dad loved ITFC, however, I’m not taking him with me to Sheffield Wednesday this Saturday.

This documentary about controlled subliminal hysteria is quite interesting.

The queue has convinced Junior that people are totally bonkers. In fact I would go as far as to suggest the whole show has radicalised her!

I think I know what a Venn diagram of the queuers and tennis fans would look like

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

When my friend had his Son's ashes buried in the pitch at the north stand end of PR many people thought he was an oddball

When my neighbour can his cat's ashes buried in his garden many people thought he was an oddball.

Neither was an oddball people should be allowed to grieve, continue with life how they want.

Remember many many people think people watching 22 men kicking a leather balloon around a piece of grass and getting upset when their club don't spend millions on a player are also oddballs

Yes, some of them are.
But it's not for you to tell them how they should grieve or whether or not they should queue for it.

Someone around our way has had a Facebook post saying the queue was almost as long as one at Aldeburgh chip shop on a bank holiday removed!

Haha. I've been in that chip shop queue and it did feel never ending.

In other news I just read that an estimated 4 billion people will watch the funeral on Monday. If true, wow. It would be the most widely watched event ever. Quite something in this day and age.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

You post on TWTD, surely you’re used to oddballs by now? ;)

There’ve been lovely stories coming out of the queue - lifelong friendships being made, sharing of food and drink, wonderful atmosphere etc.

"lifelong friendships"......how would they know? Or are people dropping dead while waiting?

Nothing like football supporters. We follow a football team to enjoy seeing them compete. Fawning over the royal family who don't even care about you is not even remotely comparable.

Just heard on BBC that the queue is being held for six hours because of overcapacity. If you haven't joined already then tough.

A family member and myself were considering joining tonight but at 14 hours plus (or possibility it is simply closed off) is prompting second thoughts.

A slow five mile walk is one thing, what I can't tolerate is standing stationary.
