Don't really know too much about him, but 23 goals last time he was at this level is impressive.

Maybe Hirst is prepared to wait it out through August to see if Blackburn want him and McKenna wants an additional forward in for the start of the campaign? In which case Yates might be #2 option.

I may be wrong but Yates has played in a two most of the time I’ve seen him and doesn’t strike me as a physical focal point to bring others in like Ladapo does and Hirst would.

Also, a week or two ago Town fans started posting this to the point where it became a thing. So I reckon this is just that regurgitated and given some sort of Blackpool ITK twist.

You are wrong. He's played in a three most of the time at Blackpool. Especially during his prolific spell in their League 1 promotion-winning campaign.

Funnily enough I'm not doing the deal.

Yates is keen as we are offering good money. Blackpool are keen as they need to sell in order to bring players in. I can only imagine we are keen as we've made the approach.

We also maybe having the exact same convo with Hirst & I'd know nothing about that. It's getting closer than it ever has been though.
