So on another thread I explained how Nigerians often mix yoghurt with Guinness to make it a bit more palatable.

As a teenager, discovering alcohol in it's many forms, I once put lemonade into a glass of Baileys - that didn't end well.

What you got (to relieve today's boredom...) ?

Kalimotxo is a popular summer drink among the Spanish yoof. 50% wine 50% coca cola. It's not very nice.

Brew-dog sent me some vile mango lager in the last box I received, the only way I could drink it was by mixing it with a pint of lemonade.

At uni when we were particularly short of cash we'd buy a bottle of Lambrini, a bottle of white cider, combine the two with a dash of cordial and let the madness happen.

When visiting the “traditional London pub” at Epcot, Disney World, I had a Bumblebee… half Guinness, half Boddingtons…. It was being sold as a traditional British pub drink.

I had a jam lager the other day and it wasn't great...almost tasted vinegary. Certainly some weird and wonderful beers out there, but also some that just aren't great.

Was only discussing this morning with one of the breweries new brews and trying something a little more out there...crisp flavoured beers seem to be the latest trend!?! Pint of Frazzle Fizz please...

Back in the uni days we’d start our nights in a boozer that did tripples for singles Mon - Thurs. mix those with a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, and you had yourself a lethal cocktail for £2.

Used to find 3 of those meant you were on for a good night. Any more and it was game over.

On a similar theme I can confirm from personal experience that drinking far too much Pernod (nothing else - it was a full bottle and the only alcohol she had in the flat), then waking with hangover and fearful thirst so drinking a full glass of water makes you drunk again is not an urban myth.

Ginocide - gin and cider
Chase - Cherry Lambrini and White Ace cider

Two of my student drinking days concoctions. Mixed (hazy) memories of them both. Good times, bad hangovers.

Guinness and Tia Maria is fantastic

In Colombia their version of shandy is "refajo" - beer and a drink called Colombians ( UK equivalent Irn Brew), though in some places they mix beer and cola
