Change of role for Lambert 10:14 - Feb 10 with 758 views | OhDavidMcgoldrick | Quite a few of my previous employment contracts have had a clause saying the employer can change my role at any time without prior agreement providing the salary and location remains the same. I wonder if Evans could effectively do the same to Lambert and his coaches? If he dosen't want to surrender his salary without a full pay off then make them under 12s manager and make sure he turns up 6 days a week as normal. Effectively forcing him to do that for 4 years or resign?

Just purely for interest (not the farcical hypothesis), What would employment lawyers be able to grip onto? If a clause in your contract allows role re-assignment providing other stipulations remain, then surely there is no issue? I am in no way legal minded so just generally interested! I suspect the word 'reasonable' appears numerous times in those types of clauses.

I suspect such clauses don't appear at all in Lambert's contract, given he was hired for a very specific and senior role.

Even if the word reasonable doesn’t appear it’s implied. For example, you couldn’t make Lambert clean toilets on his current salary and get away with it because there was no pay cut.

I’m not going to claim any knowledge of what clauses may or may not apply to a football managers contract, but that sort of stunt screams ‘constructive dismissal’

Nah, Evans should just fine him.... on 10:43 - Feb 10 with 556 views | Bloots | ....4 year's salary for not performing press duties. They can call it quits then and he can leave. Simple.
