These supposed award winning performances they all talk of to most of us are pure garbage?? Therefore there is going to be no improvement whatsoever is there because within the club the players are being told they are brilliant and we can’t ask anymore from them so they are not going to give more. Saturday was a fluke because of the number of new players who will now follow suit with the others and be poorly coached and there performances will drop off to a standard that is accepted by everybody within the club.
When Lambert goes I want all this happy to be yes men gone with him (Taylor, Gill, Pullen) everybody who has come out and defended these performances have to go and we need to raise the bar and bring in somebody who isn’t going to accept abject failure and out the bar high enough for players to either have to improve or go simple |  | | |  |

It’s embarrassing that they keep saying we’ve played well, but keep losing these games. What does that say about the tactics, team selection, the coaching and the players that ‘YET AGAIN’ we’ve failed to beat one of the better sides in this league with another powderpuff display? I agree. For all Holy’s saves last night, where has he improved and developed his game under Walker’s coaching? Walker might be a likeable fella and a good personality, but that’s not what he’s paid for. | |

A 'cosy culture' has been endemic at the club throughout the Evans era. Losing is tolerated, mediocrity is embraced, mid-table finishes are deemed acceptable etc. This all stems from Marcus Evans and his utter lack of knowledge and drive when it comes to football. Thus, when a manager is appointed they are expected to run the entire footballing side of the club as there is no infrastructure to support them and help with long-term planning etc. (The likes of Milne, Clegg and O'Neill are just Evans' puppets who are just as clueless and inept as he is). So when a manager like Keane or Hurst (albeit terrible managers) come along the players and staff are shocked that standards are being raised and that they can't just have an easy ride at ITFC anymore. Basically, until Evans goes and is replaced by a competent owner we will continue our present malaise and decline. |  | | |
