Oh for crying out loud.

What an inspiration that band was. I can remember having friends deeply into electronic music back in the day who didn't know who Kraftwerk were. I used to reply that they were the reason they were listening to what they were listening to.

Gutted about this - was bad enough with Dave Greenfield.

Kraftwerk are one of my favourites - songs that terrified me as a child, that as I got older, appreciated more and more.

An amazing talent and will be very sadly missed.

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?

Since prancing around in fields in the late 80’s with questionable chemicals as a friend, dance music has been my happy companion, although the phrase “dance music” belittles the life affirming genre that this can be, in my most humblest of worthless opinions. I remember when I sat down and properly listened to Kraftwerk, and to think that they started to make that music in the mid 1970’s, when the instruments they made it on didn’t exist until they invented them, is nothing short of mind blowing. There are very, very few artists where you can say that there was nothing like them before, but Kraftwerk were truly one of them. RIP Florian.
