‘He went on loan to Ipswich... I was laughing my head off’ - Keane attacks Walters’ lack of medals and mocks emotional interview #itfchttps://t.co/A1xreBKUQ8
Roy Keane saying some nice things about Jon Walters... on 18:25 - Sep 5 by RedX
Walters is a muppet. Follow him on twitter for a week and you’ll realise that. I know some loved him as a player at Ipswich but that doesn’t mean he’s perfect off the pitch.
Plenty on here scathed Walters for how he left the club. When Keane does it, he’s the big bad man.
Keane was a terrible manager at Ipswich. That doesn’t make what he said about Walters wrong.

This wins ridiculous post of the day.
Pronouns: He/Him/His.
"Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

This is spot on and highlights a few of Keane’s many inadequacies. How thick can you get if you think the only thing that matters is the medal count. Anyone who gets near professional football is better than 99.9% of the population and those that win medals (6 clubs only) represent a fraction of the 0.1%. That Keane denigrates Walters for what was a good career, much of it at the highest level says more about him than JW.
He appears to be an insular, bitter, aggressive man and it’s not hard to understand why he was a hopeless Manager. Whether he is the worst is a good debate, but along with Milburn, Hurst and Jewell he is well and truly in the running. Thank goodness he is nowhere near the club now.
Football aside, his 'He's crying on the TV about his family situation' comment is about as low as you can get.

Disagree. Paul Jewell was worse.
Note: both were very poor, but at least RK got us to a League Cup semi final.
Edit: Paul Hurst worse than both!

Don't really see what that achieves. He had a lucky run in the League Cup - so what? At the end of the day their overall records were very similar - the main differences were that Keane had more money to spend and also Jewell was trying to clear up Keane's mess. Keane, on the other hand, took over from Magilton (who'd just finished 9th) and claimed getting to mid table was easy.

So you think Keane slating Walters for his emotional interview about his mother and brother dying isn't wrong?!?

What was wrong with Walters' manner of departure? He handed in a transfer request when it was patently obvious that Keane was woefully incompetent, kept his head down, turned up for training, put in thoroughly professional displays in pre-season and didn't mouth off in public.
Keane on the other hand, carried on liek a teenage boy who'd just been dumped by his first girlfriend.

On the video when Walters is talking about how he forced his move from Ipswich, he does it in a jocular way, but as a fan of the club it's pretty disheartening how he treated us. Gets away with it more because he wasn't a c*nt about everything else but it still wasn't good from our captain and how he was trying to force us to sell for a deflated price.

Is it really that different from what any other player does when he's being refused a big move, though?

Agreed. Walters doesn't come out of it all smelling of roses.

Well put and surprised you had to post this to answer a question about Walter’s departure. People have short memorys.

There was two worse sadly. Paul Jewell who is arguably one of the worst managers ever if you look at what a disaster he was at Sheffield Wednesday, Derby and Ipswich and Paul Hurst, who's a pub manager who has somehow managed to con a career out of management with his best mate.
Roy Keane set Ipswich Town back 10-15 years with his actions.
I've yet to see manager do as bad at any club than what Keane did here.
