Aussie bowlers doing what we didn't do in the first ten. Pitching it up.

Bullseye, for all the hype our opening attack were utterly inept.

Ffs.

All down to Stokes again.

Hopefully the rest don't fold like a pack of cards again.

Mixed mate. People enjoying their day but worried about the outcome. Bit like Town under Lambert.

Try and enjoy it, but the inevitable writing looks on the wall with Buttler's wicket!

With the exception of new zealand, zero world cups is pretty telling. Bowling is really the weakness despite the batting woes here which are more down to pressure. We've got decent bowlers but nobody really world class. Aussie have got 3 or 4 out and out fast bowlers who are all up there.

Wot utter nonsense I am sure we hammered Australia 5 0 or something recently! We have lost 1 game to Australia who played very well and we didn’t to say they have 3 or 4 world class bowlers and we have none is laughable.

Just my opinion of course.

Below, was Australia's squad for last summer's One Day series with England:

Tim Paine (c, wk)
Aaron Finch (vc)
Ashton Agar
Alex Carey
Josh Hazlewood
Travis Head
Nathan Lyon
Glenn Maxwell
Shaun Marsh
Michael Neser
Jhye Richardson
Kane Richardson
D'Arcy Short
Billy Stanlake
Marcus Stoinis
Andrew Tye

I'm not 100% certain and feel free to point out my misgivings, but from that squad only 5 actually started yesterday for the Aussies. They're a completely different side to the one that visited our shores last summer.

Picked the wrong team, bowled badly then batted badly.

We could have done with Plunkett, he does for some reason bring balance to the side and wickets in the middle overs.

It was a pitch it up pitch instead we played like it was an Aussie or Indian ODI pitch, get it short and try to bounce them out, pitch was too slow for that and just sat up to be hit. You had to expect as a bowler to go for a few through cover and extra cover but the reward would be that they would nick one.

The batting was clueless at times, Vince is a good county pro but is not and never will be an international cricketer. Problem is we have no other spare, we could send Root to open or Ali I guess.

We better hope the pitch at Edgbaston has some pace or we are in a world of trouble, I suspect it will be similar to Headingly in being slow and turgid.
