After Paul Hurst, Evans could be pouring petrol on the fire with a Lambert appointment - especially if he's as bad here as he's been everywhere else since Nodge.

It's time to make the best of it.

Can you just imagine Huckerby or Holt walking down the touch line at PR with town tracksuits on! I bet they’d have yellow and green underneath!

Exactly.

It's a recipe for discontent and further alienation of the fans.
Surely Evans isn't that naive? Wait.....

Surely we don't have that many numbskulls?

I think it's funny that 'fans' are getting wound up by this.

I think we have enough 'fans' in an already dwindling base that would take very little to turn on the next incumbent.
Bringing in ex-norwich staff, already puts them at a disadvantage.

I think it is fair for people to be wound up at this possibility,

The whole thing is a bit of a sh*t show, if this doesn't go right for Evans, turning to an ex-nodge to save us from relegation, it would be a pure disaster.

Having said all that, I've never actually seen a Lambert team play other than his Norwich side.

I personally would not mind Lambert, he was a top top player, and a reasonable manager. i do not care that he managed Colchester and Norwich. If he does a good job who cares

I have been good friends for years with someone whose son played for the first team under Lambert at Norwich.

In his words, Lambert is a manager "the players respected but didn't particularly like". Some regarded him as overly authoritarian.

I'm not passing judgement on his appointment in any way. Frankly I couldn't give two hoots about his associations with Norwich City if he does a good job here.

True, but the world is a kaleidoscope of behaviour and opinion.
It's academic anyway until the next manager is announced.

It isn't seeming to me from bits of due diligence like this is lining up to be a good appointment. Culverhouse had 10 years at Norwich, a decade their as a player, he's basically Norwich through and through, he probably hated Ipswich until Lambert gave him a call and said they've got a gig.

And previous problems at Villa with players led him getting sacked with Lambert giving Villa the full backing for doing so, hasn't worked under Lambert since.

It would be the most Ipswich thing ever to get another Good cop, Bad cop partnership right after getting rid of one after problems on between players and coaches.

I find it amazing that people seem to be suggesting Lambert and/or Culverhouse will do less than their utmost for Ipswich due to their previous connections with Norwich.

The state we are in think we are lucky that an experienced manager like PL would want the job.
Good we moved early as doubt he would still be available in a month or two when sacking season starts.
Good player and manager and who cares he once managed them up the road years ago. He will be 100% into the job and wanting to turn us around and I think he will do just that.
People need to realise where we are at the moment and stop blubbing.

All men and women are created, by the, you know the, you know the thing.
