Webster 3.5
Waggy 5
Garner 1.25
Academy boys 1
International fees 500k = £11.25 Million

PLUS, Mcgoldrick, Mick, Bru, Carter Vickers, Carayol, Gleeson, Tommy Smith, Hyam, Connolly, Celina ALL THEIR WAGES.

Jackson 1.75
Harrison 750k
Edwards 750k
Nolan & Nsiala 2
Donacien 700k = 6Million

THATS 5 million in the bank and probably even more with all these players off the wage bill and these lower league players on less money.

Not forgetting PH will be on a lot less than Mick.

Evans hasnt ‘changed’ this summer! He’s got a very tidy profit and people don’t realise!

5 million and that’s just transfer profit!

I’m sure he has left some for PH to strengthen further, but isn’t 9 new faces enough ?

That we coukd still improve the squad and not be reliant on unproven players.

Yeah 9 players is great but why not get better players than what we got with the spare 5 million?

It's his Club and, to be honest, he can do what he wants with his money. But if you think he is making money out of us (at the moment) then I think you are a bit deluded regarding the economics of running a second tier football club.

No. We find ourselves weaker up front and in Central Defence. Both in terms of numbers and experience.

If MM was here he also sells Waggy for £5m or any other manager.
So who ever our manager is our strike force weakens.

Both garner and Didz want to move up north...

That leaves Sears, so loosing them we will get weaker

You forgot the £1m (estimate loan fees) the £1.6m we had to pay in sell on clauses and you obviously don't understand agents fees. Nice try though.

Who gives a sh!t? I'd rather our manager got the players in he wants. If there's still some sort of transfer money left afterwards then so be it,. Just because we have it doesn't mean we have to spunk it all for the sake of it. Don't forget the January window either, if we do need to bolster the squad we will be able to do it.

Don't blame Evans here. Hurst is the man i charge, and would be setting a market price on each targets head. Evans would be negotiating and trying to get the players Hurst has set as his main targets.

I guess we tried to land Tilt for too long, and ended up not having enough time to land other targets than him.

When it came to Garner, he wanted to move closer to his family, and Hurst didn't want to stand in his way (fair play to them both). We don't know what happend to the Windass deal, could just as well be that he wanted to join Wigan over us, or that the Northwest fitted him better. Again - we should probably have worked on multiple targets simultaneously.

You're sum up doesn't include sign-on fees and add-ons on the players we've bought.

You forgot 7 million out going for the year to keep club afloat, already puts him into a £2m loss, add January additions plus additional loans to come in will put us around £4m loss.

Honestly if you know someone with a spare 4-7million every year then fine.....oh wait.....you dont....? Never mind.

No....

So 5M left in the kitty by ElderGrizzly 9 Aug 2018 23:54
Done to death yesterday on multiple threads but in summary

Waghorn £4.5m (after Rangers slice)
Webster £2.8m (after Pompey’s slice)
Garner £1.25m (Rangers probably due something too)
£400k for World Cup money
So about £8.9m in at best

Academy fees directly back to academy (expected to be £1.4m but deals not yet confirmed)

Fees out - we’ve committed with loan fees about £7.25m before we even add in agent fees, signing on fees for free players (Roberts) etc

Edwards and Harrison £750k (add-ons are included in accounts which rises to £1.5m each)
Donacien £750k
Nolan and Nsiala £2m
Jackson £2m
Chabolah and Edun - previous PL loans have cost us about £1m each with fee and wages, but lets be optimistic and say these two will be £1m in total

We’ve got a bit left, but not a lot. Optimistically £2m, but a lower wage bill.

We need to rely on those add-ons for Webster and Waghorn to kick in next summer!

And Hurst has admitted he still needs another 3, so Evans probably has another £2m at least to pay on loans yet too

Can't have another 3 though?

Still, everyone saying the same; one at the back, another up front.

We don't have a bad squad tbf and are entitled to lose a few games early doors before leading up to our incredible run that will see as comfortable top *somewhere*.

My beef is that a whole load of people on here seem to think Evans has done a wonderful job over the summer. When actually he has made us far more impotent up front in a very competitive league. We are drifting towards the trapdoor and several posters on here want to shake Evan's hand.

"several posters on here want to shake Evan's hand."

Do you think there's any chance you've exaggerated that?

Ok. A turn of phrase. Several posters praise him for this summer. The drift of the last few years. The sale of Murphy. He doesn't get the flack he should do. Let's be brutally honest here. 2008 onwards had been potentially the worst period of ITFC since the mid-1950s. Coincidence?

What do you wanna do?

Stand outside one of his homes with placards?

Cause issues at the ground and unsettle the players/staff and fellow fans?

Didn't your other post suggest he is to blame for this season's lack of signings up front or something?

Sorry mate, but what are you on about?

You're quite right of course. What people don't realise is that Evan's is only in this to make a profit. So far he has made a fortune from owning Town.

Can't believe we didn't reinvest the Garner money, we had at least 30 seconds left in the window when he left.

I find it utterly bizarre how the general view on Evans on here has improved so much since he made that film.

We have turned a big profit this summer on transfers and wages. We are well and truly into the unknown. Hopefully we will be fine but I’m worried.
