Ukip never belonged to him and it isn't his to fix now. He was their most successful leader and if he'd been elected as a MP he would have undoubtedly held enough power to remove the far right NEC fruitcakes and made Ukip a respectable party.
Unfortunately his influence was limited by his failure to get elected & ultimately had to step down as he lost the power struggle within the party..

Switzerland isn’t in the customs union and you would hardly notice you have crossed the border when travelling there. Turkey is in the Customs Union and their borDer is heavily policed.
