Watched this last night, remembered at the time thinking RK should have stuck with his country come what may, this documentary gives a pretty balanced view of the saga. Fascinating insight into their personalities. Interesting footage with Niall Quinn towards the end regarding player support.
Surely one to be dealt with behind closed doors.
Gotta love the dog :)

Keane got far more support in Ireland at the time this happened and looking back at what was the main root of this problem would only add to Keane's support.
McCarthy is fairly liked in Ireland, but people think he handled the situation very badly at the time.
The strange thing is that McCarthy accepted the below par set-up at the time and Keane had massive issues with that. Just like McCarthy accepted plodding along without money at Sunderland and now at Ipswich. He simply did not have the ambition of someone like Keane.
