I'm not sure I can write this without reading dickish, honestly not trying to be, but really if you can't figure out how to maintain Kodi using Google then it's probably not for you, it will wind up being constant grief.
The problems that the 'pre-built' Kodi boxes give their customers isn't really fair - the premise that it's just a set top box like (say) Now TV is rotten; sure, to start with it ought to work, but there's work - technical work - to keep it maintained and if you've built the Kodi install yourself in the first place, you've got a way gentler learning curve. | | | |

Was having this conversation yesterday with a couple people saying the same thing, Kodi is broke and no longer works etc.
Turns out they both bought pre loaded fire sticks and now that Phoenix, Exodus and the other popular ones have been taken down they basically have written off Kodi as not worth it anymore.
Didnt have the heart to tell them that my Kodi is working perfectly and that it takes no time at all to install others addons that work perfectly.
I guess shutting down the main big ones will drive a ton of non techies away from Kodi which is all the better for rest of us who have been using it for over 10 years as there was far too much press being generated around Kodi.
A quick google will give you guides on which addons are worth installing and how to install them. Its really not difficult which is why I did not offer my help yesterday. |  |
