"This is about McKenna desperately trying to find another club to manage" "Hopefully it’s done very soon so we can get on with getting a manager that actually wants to manage us in the EPL." "to think some people are still saying he wants to manage us in the prem? Ever heard of the phrase “read the room”?" "He wants to go" "You have to have your blinkers on not to see that he wants to move on because we'll be damaging to his career if he can't help keep us up." "McKenna wants to leave Ipswich, so his agent is doing his best to declare interest in jobs that McKenna would like." "At the moment the club feels like it comes second to the one and only legendary Sir Kieran McKenna." "looks like he wants to escape to anywhere else." "There is no way that McKenna wants to stay and his agent is running around like a mad man spreading rumours for the lols." "it’s starting to really take the sheen off the last couple of years." "This can’t be anything but damaging for us." "We need to get on with finding a replacement that actually wants to manage us. I’m starting to resent him." I could go on (there's reams more of this stuff) but I'm even boring myself now. Look, I'm not having a go, but you asked us to read the room. Well maybe you read the room a little too early. Just hold you hands up, take your medicine and we move on. Because otherwise I don't know how you're going to be able to support McKenna after all that. |

I didn't say loyal, you've brought that into the mix because your point's struggling. And in any case, there's no reason why anyone other than supporters should be loyal. But job/club commitment? Seems like you're splitting hairs to me. He's signed for 4 years. Not sure what else he's supposed to do, get a tattoo like Ashton? |

I just clicked on a few of my own posts to see what I was replying to, took no time at all. But yeah, rather unseemly and embarrassing for some on here. Can't remember who it was now, and not someone I replied to, but I remember someone saying they're not sure if they could support McKenna now whatever happened, this has sullied all the good stuff. Something like that. I wonder if they've revised that position or still sticking to their guns. For me McKenna has behaved with class and dignity throughout all this. |

Hmm. And yet a week ago: "I really do think it is best that he moves on quickly". A lot can change in a week in football I guess. |
| Forum Reply | We could have timed promotion perfectly at 14:10 1 Jun 2024
Seems likely we'd have lost Kieran, and perhaps Leif, without promotion too. Those last few results (including the terrible last few by Leeds) created a huge sliding doors moment. |

I wasn't particularly right as I didn't know what was happening and didn't assert anything. I'm merely replying to people making disrespectful remarks about our manager only a few days ago (so hardly digging) who have now strangely gone quiet. If this is something that doesn't interest you, move along. I don't see anything wrong with having a 'right to reply'. As soon as we start losing games, these are the types who will be piping up again. |

No more or less than anyone else posting on TWTD. |

It's lovely in the New Forest, whereabouts are you staying? Also, your link didn't work. |

Just wondering if I'm still a pathetic weak idiot, Bill, and if our once golden boy actually sullied his reputation? |

My irony klaxon just shook itself free of its moorings. |

Oh it was him? Well that's one gone from my ignore list. He didn't last long this time did he? |

In the days when you made tapes for your mates, a mate of mine did me some Stone Roses. For a while (because I didn't actually read the title he'd written on the inlay card) I thought Ian Brown was singing "I wanna be a door" (as in a gateway to something else). |
