Ipswich Town 1 v 1 Preston North End SkyBet Championship Saturday, 3rd November 2018 Kick-off 15:00 |
Bluefox added 22:01 - Nov 3 First half was best I have seen from Sears for a long time. Penington looking very assured at the back with a fantastic tackle at the end to save the draw. Downes probably edging the midfield which managed to control a potentially more skilful Preston midfield. Preston goal was a great finish but Bart somewhat at fault for buying the dummy. Gallagher shaped to bend it over the wall but then hit it into the corner on Bart's side. Bluefox added 22:19 - Nov 3 and a commendable debut from Roberts. He is probably not the answer in the medium term but he at least gave the attack some focus, winning headings for other to feed off and chasing down Preston players. Enabled Sears to look a much better player. A disappointing performance from Edwards though who struggled to get into the game. harlingblue added 02:21 - Nov 4 A much improved performance by Town, at last a semblance of shape to the side, with players in their natural positions. Paul Lambert seems to have injected teamwork and passion back into the side despite having only one week to work with them. Pilgrimblue added 13:02 - Nov 4 Much better all round and thought some players took the opportunity to show they want to play for PL. Pluses were definitely Roberts Sears Pennington Chambo and Rowe looked ready for 1st team. The rest played their part and looked to take new orders very well. However, we need a forward who can score as I have no confidence in Jackson. Maybe one of the youngsters will step up. Esseeja added 13:46 - Nov 4
