Ward was excellent, Garner a warrior and Downes very promising. Shame about Dozzell. Much better performance than expected. Have to say MM got things right today even though I expected Celina to get some time. I do think Webster has to start when fit. Now get a new striker in this coming week Mick.
A pleasing start.

Very sad for Dozzel, just hope he'll be back soon. Skuse plyed well but stars for me were Garner and Downes. Garner is a real handful and fully deserved his goal. Downes made passing look so easy

First half was not great but I've seen worse. I thought Dominic Iorfa was probably the best person in the half, very attacking and also a fantastic defensive header. Shame about Dozzel. In the second half it was totally different. Grant Ward had a brilliant second half. Flynn Downes made it look like he'd been playing for years. And Garner is looking like our man of the season. A great way to start the season. Well done Mick and the lads. UP THE TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. It's a supporter from Poland here. I've watched the game on ifollow. Congratulations to the players and McCarthy. Still I wasn't impressed with quality of his team. It's easy to see that we are missing Berra or someone with ability to replace him. We didn't know how to deal with their set pieces. Even throw ins were very dangerous. We were lucky to win today. Birmingham had mor e chances and I still think this is a relegation quality football. Good luck for the rest of the season. Some of the players are playing just because they were good 2 years ago. Sears, Chambers, Skuse are good for League One team but not for Championship.
