Not a bad result when you consider we only played with ten men, Skuse does not warrant a place in our starting 11, poor game again tonight, get the two Town youngsters Luke and Teddy in there!

Agree with hopperblue, Skuse has been truly awful and Hyam should defo be in the team instead. Rest of the team very good and much cause for optimism after the last two games

Vital saves by Gerken despite us having the better chances during the first half was the platform of a very good win. The marauding Mings was the catalyst of a winning second half performance rounded off with a superb Murphey strike. Entertainment value is rising, now time for the Ipswich and area public to come and give the team that MM and TC are building the support that they so richly deserve.

Mings Parr and Gerken were the standout performers in what was a decent 2nd half display. Berra and Chambers gave little change to the BHA attackers. McGoldrick showed glimpses of his last season form but was closely watched by the BHA defence, and was fouled on more than one occasion. Skuse and Murph had off nights until Murph scored a great 2nd goal.

I thought that our back four were exceptional tonight, Parr and Mings added so much to our attack but didn't get caught out at the back. Berra and Chambers were really solid too. Bishop looked so natural and comfortable on the ball, always looking to receive it but Hyypia had clearly done and his homework as the young starlet was closely guarded, something a player of his ability was always going to have to learn to deal with eventually. I would echo those calling for Hyam to partner him in the engine room ahead of Skuse. Murphy's goal was exceptional and his partnership with a fully fit and rejeuvenated McGoldrick should yield 30+ goals between them.

I thought that Anderson and Tabb toiled well tonight, they protected the full backs and helped us look like a solid unit. My only wish looking to the future would be to see Williams come back on loan. He could play on the left cutting in and make us even more threatening going forward. For all Tabb's contribution I think we need more attack threat on the left flank to step up another level. That said, well done to Mings, his swashuckling runs were a real positive of tonights performance.

it,s what we have been saying all along,Skuse and Hyam in the middle simply does now work, you want either Skuse or Hyam to play along side Bishop. The entertainment value has increased dramitacally now Bishop is in the team. We are turning into a half decent football team

Another outstanding performance from Mings but it should be noted that apart from his own confidence growing with every game, he knows that he can venture forward in the knowledge that Jay Tabb will cover his back. Tabb does a lot of the dirty work, running endlessly while knowing that the role he is being asked to play will never get the fans voting a 10/10 performance. Our recent successes have come from good solid team work - the flair is slowly coming and we are definitely becoming more adventurous. Although the back five were in great form last night, Brighton did squander a few chances which they should never have been allowed to have. Onwards and upwards!!!

the quintessential game of 2 halves. I thought BHA with their extra man in the midfield out played us at times with CMS running our centerhalves all over and working them out of position. just as well BHA couldn't hit a barn door, but when they did Gerks was on hand. they also drew Mings forward so the could get 1 on 1 with Tabb. We seemed to sort this out at half time and Mings showed what an attacking force he is but needs to make more effort to get back to his defensive duties when the ball is lost. or at least play someone bigger/better than Tabb. both Murphy and MacG looked laboured for most of the game, but what a goal from Murphy. I think we need Hyam's energy rather than Skews alongside Teddy who didn't look out of place but did go a bit defensive after a while but I think that was instructed. maybe if we can sort out starting a game as we finish then it could be our turn. Overall poor game for most of it but good result.
