Last year the 3-1 home victory over Newcastle topped this chart with 77.9 per cent and it's a win against their main rivals Sunderland which wins out this time, although not by anything like the same margin.

Given the feel-good factor it generated it's perhaps a little surprising that the Reading win in the penultimate match didn't take more of the vote but that's probably down to it being away.

It is notable, however, that that right Royals thrashing at the Mad Stad and the final day home draw with Middlesbrough, two of caretaker-manager Bryan Klug's games in charge, were in the top four.

Of course, there was another match which came within seconds of winning this category. Next year maybe.
