TWTD Questionnaire 2017/18

Q7 Young player of the 2017/18 season?

We restricted this section to non-loanees aged 22 or under. Pleasingly, that meant there were plenty of candidates.

Tristan Nydam was always the likely winner having broken into the team early on. Towards the end of the campaign having been given a run in the team by caretaker-boss Bryan Klug he looked to be getting better with every match.

Flynn Downes started brightly before running out of steam a little, but will benefit from his loan in League Two at Luton.

Like Nydam, last year's winner of this section, Myles Kenlock, was given a run in the team under Klug something the left-back has needed for a while.

Ben Folami was one of a number of younger players to break into the senior side towards the end of the season, along with Luke Woolfenden, Ben Morris, Barry Cotter and Shane McLoughlin. They will be looking to feature more regularly during 2018/19, while the likes of Chris Smith, Conor McKendry, Pat Webber, Aaron Drinan and Dylan Crowe will also all be out to break into the first-team picture.
