The Rotherham home game was a must-win match on the season's final straight against a team in the lower reaches of the division - albeit one making a Neil Warnock-inspired Lazarus-like recovery - but which was one of the flattest performances in a campaign featuring plenty of underwhelming displays at Portman Road. That it beat a 5-1 thrashing at Reading illustrates quite how disappointing an afternoon it was. The Brentford and Charlton games were similar to Rotherham, only slightly less so.
