I was a poor 11 a-side player (did score v an aging Malcolm Shotton once, ex Oxford centre half from the 80'S), but have always enjoyed 5 and 7 a-side more.
Used to play with Kevin Beattie at 7 a-side on a Monday night at Coppleston High School. He was in his 50's with shot knees -but still a class act. He commended me on my Cruyff Turn (it is my only trick) once - I'll never forget it! John Wark and Alan Brazil used to also play sometimes. |

For all our good football - we ARE actually quite a dirty side. We have had 82 bookings this season - the most in the Championship - which surprises me. Crucially though, only us and WBA have not had a red card - which suggests that there is discipline to our foul play!
We do love a 'tactical' foul to stop breakaways etc. Great that we have so many facets to our game! |

I tipped us to finish 5th, we were 5th or 6th favourites with most bookies. Thought we were capable of 70-75 points over the whole season. Looks like we'll smash that. [Post edited 23 Feb 19:35]

TBF if we'd had a full back on the bench I'd have happily seen him subbed off after 30 minutes - on a booking and looked lost at times. However - then he detonated 'Beast Mode' and was simply awesome for the last hour - taking people on, winning everything. Superb. |

Jackson not a lone striker, especially at home - Broadhead will make more intelligent runs against his old team. Ladapo woefully out of form so has to be Broadhead up top for me. Harness playing well lately so starts. Unleash Hutch and Sarmiento and Taylor if needed around the 60 minute mark. |

He seemed too keen not to be swayed by the home crowd so gave them everything instead. We had many more fouls given against us despite having much more possession. He was the opposite of a 'homer'. [Post edited 16 Dec 2023 16:12]

I thought he gave the complete centre forward performance against Watford. Poachers goal, constant running, great hold up play and one superb turn to beat both their centre backs. I love him! [Post edited 14 Dec 2023 10:24]
