Win Some, Lose Some
at 19:56:23

Brilliant blog, sums up the current awful situation regarding ITFC, Tims, you should write for the EADT as you have summed it up far better than the local rag has. I know football has changed since I watched my first Town match in 1965,but I'm Not sure how it got to be like this at ITFC,with an owner who doesn't communicate with the fans and who is wanted for arrest in Brazil and a manager who at 58 still thinks its big and clever to swear at every press conference, gentlemen Evans and McCarthy defiantly are not ! True gentlemen who cared deeply for the club must now be spinning in there graves, RIP Bobby Robson,Alf Ramsey, the Cobbolds and RIP Ipswich Town,,,

McCarthy: Fans a Massive Part When We're Winning But Can Also Be a Massive Part of Us Getting Beat
at 09:59:40

My first game was in 1965,I have stuck with Town through thick and thin since, but the club now bears no resemblance to the one I have supported through the years, the only thing that has stayed the same is the name ,Ipswich Town but even that is now held in disrepute with the football world with a foul mouthed manager who obviously holds the fans and the club with contempt , and a owner who has a warrant out for his arrest in Brazil. How did it come to this ?when we once renowned for attractive football and the club was at the heart of the community ,with real gentlemen on the Board and managing the club. The Cobbold's ,Alf Ramsey and Bobby Robson must all be spinning in their graves at what has happened to our once proud and mighty club. I too will not be setting foot in Portman Rd until I see drastic action.

A Death of Our Club By a Thousand Cuts
at 22:30:33

Brilliant article,, The mess ITFC have become, and it all began 10 years ago when Marcus Evans was allowed to buy the club, a mistake that I fear will now haunt ITFC for some years to come. Evans has gone from the saviour in some peoples eyes, to an owner that wont show his face, or show any sort of leadership, and after the respected gentlemen that were the Cobbolds, we have now slipped so low, we have an owner who has a warrant out for his arrest in Brazil, and appears to care nothing for the supporters . ITFC are now unrecognisable from the one I started to support all those years ago in the sixties when I would stand on a stool in the old Churchman's. The team is now full of players ,the majority of whom I wouldn't recognise in the street, we have a manager who gets increasingly incompetent as each game passes, and cant seem to go through a press conference without expletive's. As I said I fell in love with ITFC all those years ago, but the ITFC that exist today are a million miles away from the one I have cared for and loved all these years. If it was a marriage I would be asking for a divorce for very unreasonable behaviour! As the object of my passion ,ITFC, has become to represent all the things that I dislike in the world,,,,,but supporting a football team is not a marriage, its for life, but since Marcus Evans took over my beloved club the last few years have been like a life sentence and not a lifetimes passion,,,

Legoman I have been a Town fan since 1965 and have seen some protests from Town fans over the years, but I'm nt sure why you think that either Arnold Muhren or Frans THIJSSEN were booed ,as I can assure you it certainly was not the case. And as for those that protested against Bobby Robson (once against Man Utd) it shook the Chairman and directors up so much that they then gave Bobby Robson the money to buy Allan Hunter, so sometimes protesting does work

Dyer: Players Need Fans’ Support Not Protests
at 23:27:51

He hasn't a clue, he doesn't have to pay to watch that rubbish week in week out, He used to be at the training ground most days, so has probably got his tounge firmly up McCarthy and Conner's backside. He stated that Terry Butchers comments were over the top after the Lincoln game,,Terry was telling the truth and its about time the ITFC elite got their head from their @rse and acknowledge our once great club has a shed load of problems, starting with the owner and manager. We as fans have been more than patient ,even scum fans would have been protesting loudly by now.

Where Are We Now?

Milne like Clegg before him knows absolutely nothing about football and is little more than a bean counter and Marcus Evans puppet. He also seems not to care about the fans concern at the long term demise of our once great and proud club under his boss Marcus Evans. The problem first and foremost is Marcus Evans . He had his own agenda when becoming Ipswich's owner. First he sacked a good manager ,Jim Magiliton who had Ipswich in his blood ,who's team had just beaten Norwich City ,,He then brought in his friend Clegg, who just happened to have Olympic connections ,but who knew NOTHING about football,,,the Olympic connections were important to Evans ,as London were hosting 2012 Olympics, and he needed someone with Olympic connections to sell Marcus Evans tickets. He then bought in a most unsuitable manager, that Ipswich Town could wish for,Roy Keane, but Keane suited Marcus Evans PLC, the reason being that as Keane, because of his outspoken ways, was interviewed most days by national media ,consequently his face was never off our TV screens, and he was always interviewed with Marcus Evans group plastered everywhere, you couldn't buy that sort of advertising! When it became clear Keane had fallen out with the fans, Evans then brings another unsuitable manager in Jewell, who had just got Derby relegated with the lowest ever points haul. Evans then gave Paul Jewell money to squander on players, but when Jewell was eventually found out for the poor manager he was, he too was sacked. Evans then brings in a respected manager but one that had a reputation for boring football and old fashioned tactics, but then Marcus Evans bafflingly fails to carry on investing in the club or the team. I am not sure what Evans plan is, as he wont do the honourable thing and show his face and show some form of leadership, what I do know however, since Evans took over their has been a steady decline in Ipswich Towns fortunes ,and if a new owner is not found soon, then under Evans things will only get far worse .So the EADT and Ipswich Star should have a poll on how many people are happy with the way Marcus Evans PLC is running,,,or should I say ruining ! our once proud club. I really do fear for the future of OUR ITFC.So Mr Milne given the way your boss has run ITFC into the ground ,forgive me for thinking but like the owner Marcus Evans you both don't know your ars# from your elbow when it comes to football
