Big strong AS side stopped us playing mainly. The ball in the air far to often for my liking. Poor quality game. Burgess needs to massively improve his balls up to our forwards.

Absolute crap of a performance against a much poorer Millwall team than last season. Jackson so poor. Poor ball control, won hardly any thing in the air. Elliot, Millwalls big c/f may not be the most silky forward but he won loafs in the air and laid off well. How we miss Muphy. Second half just a joke. Endless errors from all our more experienced players. It doesn't get much worse than this.

For me we tried to play football rather than hoofball but players would do something good - bring the all down well eg but then misplace the pass or overhit it. Not always bur enough times to really frustrate the fans. By the end even Sears was guilty of this. But MM gas to take all of the blame for the display - McG (or Pitman) are not no. 9's. Neither ate good enough in the air or strong enough to hold off big tough central defenders. At least Best clattered down one of Rotherhams defenders when he came on. He and Jonny williams sparked much more intense pressure on Rotherhams goal and should have both started.
