Walters on Keane: I'm Possibly the Only One That Stood Up to Him, Maybe That's What Bothers Him Most
at 18:39:09

Blueyswede, my first thought too. Can't criticise RK about clubs needing to match Towns valuation. Other than that what was our Board thinking of in hiring him in the first place???

Lambert: Tuesday's Game Was Made For Georgiou
at 14:02:38

Really exciting loan debut from him on Tuesday, he took the fullbacks on at every opportunity and went past them most times putting dangerous crosses in. Would be great to have him for the whole season so let's put it to Spurs. They've got Lamella and Song anyway.

Green’Un With Envy

Yes Fergal I'm pretty sure Tony is still going strong. I worked at the EADT for a couple of years in those days - some of the best working days of my life. Tony, Dave Allard, Elvin Martin, great characters there who loved a pint and game of snooker at the EADT Sports and Social Club next door.

Webster's Brighton Move Confirmed
at 20:00:29

Promotion this season is sorely needed - if we have a decent season but lose out in the play offs for example with Norwood banging in 20 or so and Huws playing a lot of games and showing his class, big bids are sure to come in from Championship clubs. Sell on clauses are all very well but these are quality players and PL is not likely to be allowed to reinvest in the team.

U18s in Holland
at 11:29:36

Great stuff, sure they will learn loads in Holland. I watched the friendly at Felixstowe & Walton FC. 1-1 and some good talent on show. Our no. 5 Brooklyn has good potential. Tall, strong physically, good skills on the ground and in the air. Also impressed with Ballack our triallist c/f. Quick, mobile, strong. Anyone know if we have taken him on?

Elliott and Norris at Town to Conclude Loan Moves
at 17:50:19

Elliott had the physical presence we sorely lacked in that pathetic performance at the Den last season when he was subbed o. He will win lots of headers but looked a bit slow and cumbersome on the ground tbh. Will never be Henri Mark 2!!!

Garbutt: We Have More Than Enough Firepower and Solidity to Do Well in League One
at 08:44:38

Sunderland match a full house! Hardly Luke. Its the holiday season remember. Solid at the back! Not likely imo as things stand. Plenty of goals in the side? Hopefully now we have Norwood. Apart from Sears who is injured no-one is a proven goalscorer in div 1.

Bishop Out for Three Months, Nsiala and Lankester to Miss Start of Season

C'mon Multiple, theres no chance of promotion with this squad. I can see a stuffing at Burton for starters. Cloughie will have them fired up all right.

Lambert: Germany Trip Beneficial
at 06:41:49

Bluewelshman well said but it is hard to be that positive for the coming season. Yes Norwood looks likely to be a hit but reports of continued defensive shambles in matches, our best midfielders all injured (Bishops looks very serious) or likely to take a lot of the season to get up to speed (Huws) and no transfer budget don't support our joint second favourites tag. Hopefully though, Lancaster, Garbutt, Woodforde etc can rip it up in div 1 and Nolan and Nsiala recapture their Shrewsbury form.

Lambert: Garbutt Will Be an Asset
at 14:20:35

Well theres a reason Garbutt hasn't found a club in a higher division and its prob due to his defending not being that great. What we need above all else are full backs with good positional sense who can get crunching tackles in, win the ball, stop crosses at source. Distribution needs to be good too of course but just having an incredible left foot is nowhere near enough. Sorry PL, I hope this is way too pessimistic.

Millwall Linked With Bialkowski
at 18:48:00

Baddoeblue, after the season he's just had he's not going to play in the Prem now is he! A playoff chasing Championship club is more likely but ArnieMs right - they are hardly battering our door down to take him. Its a sign of Towns state but few of our players are worth much. Bishop could be a target now he's fit and he would be worth a few bob. Lancaster when he's fit again will surely be keenly tracked. Just hope we can hang on to them at least.

O'Neill: We've Learnt From This Season
at 12:13:06

Well Lee start by vowing to NEVER again let every single regular goalscorer at whatever level are playing at leave the club all at once with no proven replacements brought in. Disastrous naivity by a supposedly experienced management team. Spending so long in the top two divisions let in utter complacency which has cost the club and the owner a packet and embarrassed all Town fans everywhere. All good luck to PL and his team in their efforts to restore the clubs good name and emulate our proud history.

Taylor: The Real Success is Players Coming Through Into the First Team
at 18:36:02

The current group of Academy youngsters are a lucky bunch. It must surely be easier to push on into the first team squad in Div 1 under the present management than at any time since the 1970s. How many will grab it with both hands will be interesting to see.

Ex-Academy Youngster Knight Nets Twice as City Reach FA Youth Cup Final
at 11:31:01

Well we need the top up payments desperately so hope Bens career skyrockets. Only 16 too and scoring loads against the best youth teams in Europe. Zak is also doing well albeit at a much lower level. its about time one or two of our academy forwards became regulars in the first team. The signs are promising and hopefully we will see a lot more of Lancaster, Morris and Folami next season after recovering from their injuries.
