McKenna to manage England
at 18:28 24 Mar 2024

Not a chance. He’ll manage Ipswich to great success in the Premiership. (Survival, then mid -table, then top 10.) Then he will accept a ‘top job ‘ in English or European club football, earning numerous national and Champions’ League trophies . Then when he is semi -retired he’ll lead a United Ireland team ( it’s coming, inevitably ) in qualifying for a World Cup. And then he’ll come to his final resting place in the sinecure of Director of Football back in Ipswich. When Town eventually own their own ground it will be ‘The Mckenna Stadium’, adorned with statues and busts of the greatest football manager the British Isles have ever produced.
Thus it is written. Thus it shall be!

Were those really the best footballers England have to offer?

Clearly not. It was a friendly. Players injured . Players rested. Players being given a ‘look see’.

What will the score be when the Virgins play each other?

Obviously when they engage in an intense tussle neither party will emerge with a clean sheet.

Ndaba watch
at 04:01 27 Feb 2024

Killie fans love Ndaba and I have one fan I correspond with begging us to release him to them at the end of this season. I think we should bring him back as a squad player.
Killie also hasve an excellent 19 year old striker on their books called Bobby Wales who is currently on loan at Alloa and scoring goals. He is reportedly being watched by us, Leeds and West Ham and the same Killie fan is pleading that we leave him be, so that tells me we should nab him too.

Leicester Roll Call…
at 10:41 22 Jan 2024

Make that 3306. I am over from Canada to watch as a guest of Leicester City. Sitting in the posh seats ‘quietly cheering ‘ for the Town. I feel confident of the three points!

Our grandson, just turned 8, had the opportunity on his birthday to name a new born calf. He came up with “Moobappe”. Anyone else want a try !

Best ever Town Goalkeepers?
at 03:00 2 Nov 2023

Ken Hancock was “better than Yashin”, according to the terrace song of the time. “And Crawford (was) better than Eusebio” (pronounced ‘You Say B.O.’ in the song.)

If he’s ever on I’ll give that episode a miss . Best thing about TownTV is that I’m spared him.

On DAZN in Canada, which usually is a stream from Sky. Not sure why it would be blocked out in UK

‘Burge’? Of course. It’s the masculine form of ‘Burgess’.
