Holy's kicks

His save at Upton Park in the play-off final is a thing of beauty. Think it was from Anton Ferdinand. Terrific reflexes and agility.

Kelvin Davis had a massive kick, certainly for someone who wasn't tall for a goalkeeper. Seemed to hit Kuqi in the opposition area quite regularly.

Scored in the famous 3-2 Coventry game with Pablo's last minute winner. It somewhat overshadowed Stern's contribution

Beer Subscription Services
at 10:43 16 Aug 2019

Thanks the reviews! I have a fair few discount codes from friends hence the pondering whether to sign up. Got 10 beers on order for £4.95 which isn't a bad introduction! Here is hoping this is the start of a beautiful relationship!

Thanks for the offer of your codes though!

Beer Subscription Services

Anyone dabbled in Beer Subscription services?

I have had a look at Beer 52 and it does appeal to me but £29/month does seem quite excessive if I don't like the beer!

Any advice on the better sub services would be good!

Hopefully not the same well place friend who told you Jack Ross had signed a 3 year deal with us :)

Fingers crossed as Clarke would be an excellent addition!

Jordan Roberts-What a weird signing
at 09:16 14 Aug 2019

Reminds me of years gone by when we have tried players up front who have just never looked like scoring.....

Adam Proudlock, Balint Bajner, Dean MacDonald, Daniel Karbassiyoon...the list goes on.

As others have said Roberts isn't good enough but at least he does try and put in a shift.
It also shows just how much we rely on Norwood at the moment!

I like it, apart from the bit between 'Norwood and Wink'.

Other than that, get it going on Saturday :)

I cringe every time I hear 'if you dont jump you're Norwich scum ole ole',

Norwich have been singing that to us for years and it makes me shudder to think we can't come up with anything else than recycling their old rubbish!

Public Service Announcement: Euro 2020 Tickets

Logged into the website,

My friend has 3 Wembley games but at a cost of £5.5K! (4 tickets per game so 12 tickets total) including both semis.

I feel for his bank balance! That is the gamble of ballots I suppose!

Bang on with the mid range championship teams.

Didn't he come from Reading's academy? Could be tempted back there.

Bristol probably have the bigger budget though.

Connor Wickham is being pipped to move on from Palace on a permanent,

Anything Sunderland receive as a % sell on from Palace will then technically be profit and factored back into our chunk of profit sell on % (or thats how I see it)

Will probably be £500 but will pay for some tins of paint and a pressure washer!

First presser of the season - wow!
at 09:40 2 Aug 2019

I understand his frustrations, especially with our defence situation however I would like him to acknowledge that we definitely have a team strong enough to compete for top 6. I imagine Judge, Huws, Norwood etc would walk into any other side in this division.

I see John Marquis has signed for Pompey
at 08:31 1 Aug 2019

But without Clarke and Lowe, they still do not look significantly stronger. They have the league experience to do well but I am not convinced that Harrison and Pitman are the best reserve strikers in the event Marquis gets injured.

Then again they are probably better options than Jackson.

What do we make of this interview with Lambert then?
at 08:26 1 Aug 2019

It was nice to have a bit of confirmation that Hurst's position was being seriously contemplated prior to the Swansea victory.

I do like that Evans gives managers time, however was not so blind to his unfortunate mistake that he sought to revive the situation at the earliest opportunity.

Happy Ashes day everyone!
at 08:23 1 Aug 2019

England will win at Edgbaston, it is our Brisbane and Australia are not so superior as to break that fortress.

Lords and Oval will be Australian wins.

Just leaves Headingly and Old Trafford as the unknowns.

For me the series comes down to the form of Roy, Root and Ali. Thanks to the World Cup win I have to back Roy to see us through to competitive totals therefore England to win 3-2.

Bowling is going to be carnage from both sides, wouldn't be surprised to see 325 as a maximum innings score for the series and no game to reach a 4th day*.

*Although in the world cup we all expected 400 scoring slog fests and the opposite happened, so expect high scoring 5 day classics!
