Don't forget the metal long handled combs that were either sharpened and used as a stabbing instrument, or a razor blade was fixed to the 'comb' end. These were often taken in to grounds by girls as they were less likely to be searched. Horrible. |

Do you judge me as one of 'the usual cap doffers' as you say because I explained to you briefly about my own personal experiences? I can assure that having cancer isn't a great deal of fun for anybody, regardless of how their treatment is financed or whoever is in government at the time. The trauma is still the same. The treatment is generally going to be the same. It can only be helpful to the nation if those who can afford to pay for their treatment do , as surely it leaves more money for the rest of us accessing NHS services. |

Well I can tell you that I've had 2 types of cancer and have been very well looked after, which is not unusual. I've required umpteen surgeries, scans, xrays and stays in hospital and am still being well monitored. Both cancers were very life threatening but I'm still here enjoying life thanks to the NHS system. I wouldn't wish my diagnosis on anyone, let alone a young woman with a young family. Money/ privelege etc means little when it comes to cancer. I don't think it's fair to use cancer as a swipe at the Royal family. |

Loved that clip, I was at home listening on the radio and remember that feeling of pure excitement ........and running round the house screaming! Moments like that along the way are worth seeing again, I've been going 56 years so had a vast mixture of emotions in that time and still 'feel it'. The Macaughly Bonne moment always makes me giggle. |

From where I sit in SBR, I can rarely hear away fans, only our fans. It's all to do with acoustics and positioning around the ground. |

I still have that album, was one of the best at that time. My husband is still insisting on 'Come up and see me, make me smile' as his funeral song |

Well there's usually hundreds travel from Stowmarket, not going to be much fun today on buses is it ?. I often wonder if they take in to account its a football day/evening when they send a train with 4 carriages that are already heaving! Very poor management. |

Just to let anybody know if not already aware, that there's a bus replacement on trains Stowmarket to Ipswich today ( presumably Bury st Edmunds and Norwich service?). |

Just tried working it out, and still struggling even with a magnifying glass! Got 5 of them possibly, probably quite difficult to write on shirt material without it rucking up tho! |
