I totally agree with you @Runner I feel the club have strategically announced Waltons injury that has coincided with the transfer rumour with Luton....6 games is right up to about when the window closes!
If he is only missing from the Sunderland game then we shouldn't read anything into this, Hladky is a good replacement and I'm not worried about CW's absence as I know the team will be more than ready for Sunderland. |

I would imagine he would be injury cover for either Burns or Davis....being under the age of 21 he wouldn't count towards the 25 man squad? I really cant see him playing as the no.9?!? I can see why some dont fancy him would he out perform the likes of Edwards/Aluko & Jackson??
He's quick with the ball, got 2 really good feet and possesses some quality in the set-piece department....One for the future me thinks :) |

I have mixed feelings about this.....He's now become injury prone and who knows how many games he'll be able to play and finish....on the other hand we're letting a quality player play at a rival with finances that will enable them to mount a promotion challenge this season.
McK is surely making a calculated gamble?!?

Being a former referee myself I live 2 roads down from a former Championship referee (very nearly became a Premier League referee himself) who is also a town fan and he told me that he wasn't allowed to ref a Norwich game.
Anyway, now I know what I know thanks to Mr Ham I'm disgusted that this is allowed to happen. The PGMOL likes to court controversy outside the Premier Lesague too
Having ran the line dozens and dozens of times the impact of a rival supporter doesn't have the same impact as the referee as he is the one who controls the game!
Having said that I'm still shocked that even Assistant referees who support rival clubs are given appointments such as those.

For anyone truly unhappy with this appointment should contact the EFL supporters services department and make your voice heard, I was told that my message will get passed onto the relevant authorities.

Their office is open 8am til 6pm Monday to Friday - so people get dialling!
I also submitted a typed message through their contact link to ensure they can see what I said over the phone.
I'm guesing that if they receive a lot of responses between now and the end of Friday the PGMOL will re-appoint a more suitable referee. |

@Pencilpete I read in a national paper last week that the deals by the club are in progress...anyways its obvoius that we're resigned to losing Wolfenden and Downes from speculation from the whole of the season....regarding Jackson, its on this website reporting that contract talks have stalled :( btw if you didn't know a source close to me via inside the football club has told me that Norwood has a bit of a drug addiction problem. #EvansOut |

I have mixed feelings about this.....whatever happened to introducing a salary cap based on TV income and gate receipts? The capacity of grounds in L1 varies greatly, if a proposed salary cap limit was introduced to cater for the smallest clubs in the division it would still provide the bigger blubs a massive advantage when it comes to offering larger transfer fees. I think Towns average attendance this season was around 19,500 which I think was the 2nd highest after Sunderland's....I must admit though, Town do need to reduce their wage budget further because even at 11 or 12£million is way too high for League1 where TV is greatly reduced. |

I for one am NOT WORRIED about Ipswich Town F.C. - All the debt is Marcus Evan's. If he sold the club tomorrow then that debt would either;
A) have to be partially written off by Evans himself (personally paying £millons himself - which he can easily afford to do)
OR
B) Pass all the debt onto the next Billionaire owner (which Probably wont happen because whoever comes in wont want to service £100million of debt!)
