I'm pleased that you manage to tackle this subject without using that old warning "Be careful what..."etc. as I think that any seasoned observer should be able to realise that it doesn't matter a tinker's teatray what we wish for or not. And as you're unfolding our history - who, apart from the venerable Cobbolds thought that Sir Bob's C.V. would be our passport to glory. Incidentally, re your username: it's often discussed on here whether there's been any good coaching so that we could name any player who had actually improved since coming here - well, Brogan certainly got better and better, until that infamous tackle! |

I was there for the Sunderland game and must have been with you out on the pitch. I've often thought since that though I enjoyed it all, only as an adult could you really evaluate what Alf and the Cobbolds achieved. With Bobby I realised, even at the time, that such dominance couldn't last forever. 10 years was a good stretch though. |

It's a new precarious world for everyone, Evans included. Take a look at the whole interview last night, and discover a world of confused, directionless answers - no inkling there of green shoots. Comparisons with Mick are pointless. 80% in the Star wanted him gone. That's the Star, not some gung-ho social media collection! If one supports the club but fears change more than continuity, it can't really be a matter that greatly troubles them. There is currently no sensible course that can prolong the status quo to positive effect. Incidentally, having been informed last night that Town beat Northampton 6-0 in '67, I looked it up, and discovered that one Frank Brogan got a hattrick. |

You'll own that there is no new insight here, but, boy, do you put the ever-present ones well! Sadly, as you imply, who is listening that really matters? |

Bit unfair on Marcus to say that he wouldn't have scored as frequently as Darren in the Prem. Bent's goalscoring record is indisputable, but he was 21 when he left Town, whereas Marcus didn't play in the Prem till he was nearly 30. |

Respectfully pointing out to Kieran " you think that these teams could compete at the top of the Championship" - those three flair loans were one season's ration each, not here at the same time. |
