| News Comment | Ipswich Town 6-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report at 20:40:00
Fantastic performance. What a response to the disappointment of last week. And very fitting that Hutchinson scored right at the end of the minute of applause for Matt Newman, couldn't have written the script any better. |

Lovely drilled goal from Kieffer—just what the doctor ordered! And Burgess did fantastic to head it back across to Chaplin, who played a lovely intelligent knock on back header to Moore, who then put the icing on the cake! COYB, keep the faith! |
| News Comment | Ashton: Announcements on Training Ground and Cobbold Stand in Next Few Weeks at 09:47:54
I can't understand why Bristol City fans were generally glad to see Ashton go; their loss is definitely our gain! And the last sentence in the above article is very encouraging. You can tell how hard they have been working to turn the club around. Yes, they are getting well paid; however, we shouldn't lose sight of the big sacrifices they are making (in terms of very long hours being committed to the cause) to help turn the ITFC ship around. So it's a very big thank you from me for all their efforts. You've (all the staff and players) made my son finally proud to support Town (and that means a lot!),and bear in mind he's the only Ipswich fan in his entire school living here out on a limb in Norfolk! He's working on bringing more over from the dark side! He's had several school friends ask if they can come and watch the games, but it's so hard to get tickets now (which is obviously a good thing!), especially in the same area as where we already sit. But it's a good sign that some are asking to come instead of wanting to go and watch Norwich. |
| News Comment | Gallagher Move Stalls at 08:16:47
@BeattiesBackPocket. I'm not passing judgement on Gallagher. I couldn't possibly, as I know very little about him. I just looked at his goal-scoring record and thought it might be of interest to others to share it. But I can't speak of his all-round game, as I have hardly seen him play. And you are right about Hirst; his goal-scoring record was poor before he came here, yet he's become a firm favourite for striker (because of his all-round game) among most of our fans since joining. Although I still don't think he would get a start for Leeds, Leicester, or Southampton. But this shouldn't be a great surprise, as I imagine they have deeper pockets than us. Also, as we all know, we are still currently higher than two of them. But our overall goal difference is worse. |
| News Comment | Gallagher Move Stalls at 19:40:29
Maybe we will turn our attention elsewhere. Perhaps to Mileta Rajovic. And I wonder if Macaulay Langstaff could step up to the Championship? Sam Gallagher playing record (according to Wikipedia): Years Team Apps (Goals) 2013–2019 Southampton 22 (1) 2015–2016 → Milton Keynes Dons (loan) 13 (0) 2016–2017 → Blackburn Rovers (loan) 43 (11) 2017–2018 → Birmingham City (loan) 33 (6) 2019– Blackburn Rovers 157 (32) So he's scoring on average in slightly less than 1 appearance in 5. Although McKenna must see something in him to be fair. His career stats look a fair way off compared to the quality that Leeds, Leicester, and Southampton have up front. Although they all have the luxury of parachute payments that we don't. McKenna to his credit, does seem to be able to get the most out of players, though, so who knows? |
| News Comment | Luongo Announces International Retirement at 19:48:47
What a fantastic player Luongo is. Whenever Ipswich play at home, I usually leave just after 12 and get home about 7 hours later. Watching players like Luongo and Morsy makes it worth all the effort and time. I could never have put myself through that week in and out during most of the previous ownership, but now it feels like a real pleasure rather than a duty or chore. |

I feel humbled looking at those touching pictures. A huge well done to all concerned. It's so nice to see some genuine joy and happiness being shared among those going through difficult times. "Football is more than just a game. It can bring hope and joy to people's lives." - Didier Drogba "Football is the only thing that can bring together an entire country, regardless of political or religious differences." - Zinedine Zidane "I think football is more than a game; it is a passion. It is something that comes from inside and touches people's hearts." - Yaya Touré "Football is a universal language. It brings people together, irrespective of their nationalities, cultures or beliefs." - George Weah "Football is the most important of the less important things in the world." - Carlo Ancelotti |
| News Comment | Former Town Midfielder Adeyemi Elected to PFA Players' Board at 11:01:47
From what I can remember, he bossed the first half in a home game against Norwich, in which we should have easily been a goal or two ahead by half-time. He then got subbed off at half-time (due to a sustained injury, I believe) and was never to be seen again! In the second half, Maddison scored for Norwich. Those definitely weren't the days! Tom Adeyemi didn't play many! Shame, as what he showed in that first half against Norwich looked very promising, but sadly, that was all I remember of his time at Town! |
