p.s me and my brother were in Meppen supporting Town earlier this summer, so don't think we are plastic fans!

Chambers Surprised Clubs Haven't Gone Out of Business Before
at 15:46:38

Rushden & Diamonds did in 2011. Growing up I went to a lot of games with my Dad. We live in Bourne (Lincolnshire) but my Dad was born in Rushden and still has family there. I now support the phoenix club AFC R&D. The old ground was demolished and the new phoenix club started at step 10 of football (coincidentally they were in the same league as Bourne to begin with!). There's a lot to read about the demise of R&D and the short history of the phoenix club for anyone who is interested. My Grandad supported ITFC hence why I am a tractor boy too. I play football on Saturdays so don't get to many games for either team these days. That doesn't stop me from checking the scores as soon as I can!

Vincent-Young Bid Accepted Report
at 10:46:59

We could always try making a double signing by bringing back Nouble. Perhaps an unpopular opinion but, despite his poor scoring record for us, I actually thought he looked a handful!

We should be very, very happy if this gets finalised. Great player, good experience and still only 23

Evans on Relegation, New Arrivals and the Promotion Challenge
at 11:49:26

Quite a refreshing read in my opinion. ME definitely appears to have learnt from last summer's mistake of selling our best players (by keeping Judge). I think we should be very pleased with our transfer business SO FAR, we just need to get another striker and fullback in ASAP to bolster the squad. Once Edwards, Nsiala, Nolan and Lankester (plus Sears & Bish longer term) our squad should be more than capable of pushing for automatic promotion. In terms of the finances, ME is right in saying we can't compete financially with the championship top 10. Of course I would love a billionaire takeover to get us back to the promise land, but at the moment we are at least financially stable unlike Bolton for example. MM did work wonders on the shoestring budget, but the football was sh1te and we weren't giving many club grown players a chance. The club as a whole is so much more positive with PL as manager. It is difficult to please everyone, but I for one am very proud to be an Ipswich fan right now. COYB

Elliott and Norris at Town to Conclude Loan Moves

Completely agree with all of your comment Keaneish. My mate who supports Cambridge rates these 2 very highly. Of course we need a couple of defenders in but this is a great start to a huge week

Former Lincoln Defender Wilson Training With Blues

Remember Lincoln beating us in the FA cup a couple of seasons back was 'a giant killing'. Now we are scrounging around looking to sign one of their cast offs. Worrying times folks

Agree that's a tough start. I'd happily take 4 points from those first 3 games.

Bishop: I've Not Felt This Sharp Since the Play-Off Season
at 16:19:08

What a refreshing interview. I sincerely hope Teddy's injury problems are over. Next season he could be crucial in our promotion push. Bishop, Downes, Lankester Dozzell, Kenlock, Emmanuel, Woolfenden and hopefully a few other youth team products can all make a significant contribution next season. I truly believe there are exciting times ahead. We all need to keep the faith. COYB

Lambert Pours Cold Water on Double Boro Deal as Blues Close in on Keane Loan
at 16:02:35

Am I correct in thinking we are allowed 4 loanees in the matchday squad? Pennington, Chalobah, Elder and Keane would fulfill that (all of which you'd expect to be included IF fit). Presumably any other signings would be permanent ones? Call me pessimistic but that surely rules out Gestede and Leadbitter - why would they join?!

Let's Hope We Have Got Our ‘Blip’ Out of the Way Early - Notes for West Bromwich Albion
at 12:31:01

Thanks Harry! It seems the majority of West Brom players are kicking on a bit and past their best. If they don't get promoted this season I suspect they could be stuck in this league for a few years. Feeling so optimistic with PL at the helm. COYB!!!

Bishop Returns as U23s Draw With Cardiff
at 15:34:30

Watched all of the second half via the Facebook live stream. Looked a good game and we were dangerous going forward, Folami and Lankester in particular. Cotter was beaten time and time again by their winger but maybe I should cut him some slack if that was his first game for a while!

Lambert: I Couldn’t Have Asked Any More of Them, They Gave Us Everything
at 18:25:24

Such a shame we couldn’t get the 3 points I think we deserved. I knew Gallagher would score as soon as the free kick was given! Lots of positives to take today, certainly a big improvement on recent weeks. I believe we have the right man in charge. Love his passion. COYB
