It’s very difficult to be critical of this team, especially considering the run we had been on.
But, it has to be said, the defending was amateurish, and certainly not worthy of a top two finish in the championship. Nowhere near good enough to throw a game away at any level of football. 2 conceded after the 95th minute. Awful. |

Disappointing result and arguably one of the worst performances. Interesting that Leeds continue to falter after beating us easily.
It’s difficult and perhaps unfair to criticise after a great year and afterall, any team would miss Morsey, Hirst, Burns, Davis and Broadhead. Bit unlucky really.
But, our lack of quality in depth was exposed. Too many what I’d call average championship players. Fine if we want lower mid table, but not if we wish to continue to push on.
At least we didn’t lose. Happy New Year to all. |

Comprehensively outplayed and deservedly beaten. No complaints. The Leeds squad is far superior to ours, but yet we remain seven points clear, which is incredible when you think about it. We must now beat a very good Leicester team.
This is not a knee jerk comment, but it’s clear our defence is not good enough. We have shipped a lot of goals this season. We’ve scored lots too, but can’t rely on that every game. Hopefully some top class defenders will join in January. |

No point dressing it up. A really bad day at the office. Worst under KM - shame it’s for his 100th game, but it happens to even the best teams. WBA thoroughly deserved their win. Our record there is abysmal in recent years.
No real harm done. We move on. But, must now beat Millwall under the lights at PR. Anything less would be disappointing. |
