I assume most people who have rated the players weren’t at the game. Good in the first half without being clinical in the final third. Second half wind was with Sunderland and they were always going to come out and be better than they had been. In fairness created more clear chances than we did and probably just deserved to win. Disappointing but not the terrible performance those ratings would lead you to believe. |

How Jordan Spence has scored as highly as he has is beyond me. He had a shocker. The fact that Bart is our man of the match when all he did was pick the ball out of the net, sums up the generally insipid display by the outfield players |

Terrible performance in the first half, Bolton probably can count themselves unlucky not to go in ahead, two good chances one well saved by Gerks.
We improved a bit in the second half, fortunate to get the Pen, poor defending by Bolton. After that you could see they were a team low on confidence and they became even worse than us and never threatened an equaliser, though we also did not create one clear cut chance all game.
Almost zero entertainment. Well done to the SBR stand for creating a good atmosphere in the second half. I do fear with the negative football we are being served up our attendances will not grow anytime soon. |

Very poor performance we resorted to hoof ball football throughout. Difficult to criticise the strikers as had to feed off scraps. Midfield terribly poor and defence shaky, with the exception of Orr who was solid. Marlon Hardwood had three one on one's and should have had a hat trick, Cresswell in particular struggled to cope. Ultimately happy with an undeserved point. We really do need more from our Wiseman, Edwards in particular is not performing would much rather have Jet playing. We also need to find a quality midfielder who can control a game.
Whilst MM has done a great job in getting us out of the bottom three with some good performances away the long suffering home fans still having to put up with too much rubbish. |
