Lambert: Negativity is Incredible
at 14:19:16

We have lost two league games this season! People are actually mad. You cannot expect to play well every match, every weekend. Teams at this level just cant do that! its unrealistic expectations. I see people say we havent played well for 90 mins. I suspect that goes for every team in this league and many more around the country. If we played well for 90 mins non stop our players wouldnt be playing here.

Some people have very short memories. You cannot expect the club to just turn around in a few months after the worst season in our history. The whole culture at the football club needed to change, we needed to get back to winning ways. This is the problem with a lot of football nowadays. People expect instant results and think constantly chopping and changing the manager and staff will get instant results. There are peaks and troughs during any manager's time.

If Lambert doesnt get us up this season then yes it will be a real disapointment and questions will be asked but a bit of perspectve please. 2 defeats all season in the league. In the hunt for automatic promotion. A manager who cares about this club, home and away fans as positive and loud as I have heard for a long time. COYB!

Lambert: Referees' Chief Jones Can't Believe Goal Was Chalked Off
at 15:29:10

Alan Young and Aaron Farmer need to be investigated. Farmer is from Colchester and actually worked for Col U previously. He was smirking at the crowd at the start of the second half when he was checking the goal net. That standard of officiating is unacceptable at any level but for a hugely important top of the table game it was awful. They got every big decision wrong. And completely lost control of the game which is reflected by the fact he booked 11 players!

Haven't checked where they are officiating tomorrow (hopefully nobody because they should be banned for a few weeks) but god help whoever they screw over next. We should never have them in charge of an Ipswich game again.

Lambert on Referee: That Wasn't Acceptable, That Was Incredible
at 09:06:31

Alan Young and Aaaron Farmer. Do not forget these names.

They should never be allowed to officiate another Ipswich match as long as they are employed as football officials. Peterborough based too and very inexperienced at this level. How can he be chosen to be in charge of 2nd v 1st in front of 19,000? He got all the big decisions wrong. Our goal should have been allowed to stand, Chambers foul on their player was outside the box. Chambers should have actually been red carded as he made no attempt to play the ball and was denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. He missed the hand ball from Nolan's shot. He gave out yellow cards for anything. He completely lost control of the game so he started to book so many players on both sides, trying to even it up by booking lots of Wycombe players in the second half. Genuinely think he was making it up as he went along.

Ainsworth and the Wycombe players know it was a legitimate goal for us. They defended well but we should have taken an opportunity. Norwood's chance in the first half being the main one, thought that was in from my view in SBR upper.

Town and Lincoln Ball One in Round Two Draw
at 09:00:35

Is the Lincoln replay definitely on Wednesday 20th? BBC Sport website showing as Tuesday 19th. I know the club tweeted it was the 20th but seems a bit weird, why would it be on the Wednesday and not the Tuesday? Normally only because us or Lincoln plays on the Sunday but neither of us are. Should just be on the Tuesday, which then gives both teams more time off before our Saturday games.

Trialist Wilson Set to Sign
at 12:23:09

Can see why some would see signing a guy released by Lincoln on a free is a bit underwhelming but he isn't being signed to be first choice. We have an injury crisis at centre back and he will likely play a handful of games this season.

It would be very difficult to sign a top quality centre back on a free, especially when you then say to them, youre not playing once Nsiala and Chambers are back. Obviously not ideal we have neither of our first choice centre backs for the opening game but just got to get on with it.

Blues Offer Dozzell New Deal With Canaries Among Premier League Clubs Showing Interest
at 16:52:08

Complexly deflated by all of this talk of Dozzell and Judge leaving. If you don’t want to play for this club then f*** off! Sick of players not being committed to this club. Bet we get peanuts for them too. Judge shouldn’t leave for anything less than 1 million and Dozzell shouldn’t be sold for anything less than 8 million. Crazy prices but that’s today’s market.

New Judge Bid Rejected Report
at 10:46:26

Judge signed a new contract in March/April when he knew we were going down. Therefore playing in League 1 is not an issue for him as he has said previously. Unless QPR bid silly money (1.5 to 2 million) then we should not sell. He is key for us this coming season. Remember Championship transfer window closes in under 2 weeks now so this could intensify but we should stand firm and not sell.

Lambert Not Getting Carried Away Despite Five-Star Display
at 09:08:50

Judge won’t be leaving unless QPR bid silly money. He is going to be a key player for us this season. We have so many good options in attacking areas, Norwood, Jackson, Sears, Lankester, Judge, Edwards, Nolan, Bishop. QPR have got financial issues too so they can’t pay much surely. And Judge would cost a million or more I suspect.

Need a centre back and a striker I think. Good performance last night, especially second half

Bishop Out for Three Months, Nsiala and Lankester to Miss Start of Season
at 17:19:22

This is absolutely gutting

We have to sign a senior central defender or two. Its by far our weakest part of the team, no cover at all really. We needed one before Nsiala's injury anyway. At the moment for Burton away we might have a central defensive line of Kenlock, Ndaba, Woolfenden and Emmanuel. That's just not good enough. Donacien can play centre back but we are just so light in defence. Got to sign a couple of experienced defenders!

1 or 2 good loan signings is fine but Lambert wont get more than that I think. Left back is an area we needed to address so pleased about this!

Town to Learn Two EFL Trophy Opponents Today

Won't get Norwich in the group stage anyway. Like the article says they keep apart high profile clashes in the groups. Sunderland did play Newcastle last season but was in the knock out stages.

Not sure what sort of crowds we will get at Portman Road for this, suspect only a couple of stands will be open for matches.

Judge: Arm Injury a Six-Weeker
at 20:53:26

Judge seems like a great guy and character to have around the place. His experience in the dressing room is a positive aspect too.

In terms of his injury I think he will be given a bit of additional time off because he was on international duty. We don't need to take any unnecessary risks with this injury as he will be a key player for us this season. He'll be able to do fitness work but nothing too physical for the first 2 or 3 weeks. Such an exciting player to have though

Harrison at Pompey and Closing in on Move
at 15:20:13

Might be in the minority here but just not sure what Harrison has ever offered. Doesn't provide enough of a goal threat, doesn't get in goal scoring situations. He scored 1 in 16, that goal against Sheffield United and even that was deflected.

We have Norwood, Jackson, Sears (when fit), and need to sign certainly one or maybe two strikers I think.

QPR Linked With Judge
at 09:22:40

Would be surprised if there is anything in this. QPR would have to pay a fee which wouldn't be a small amount and I doubt they'd be willing to do that anyway for a player who is 30 and just finding his way again after a terrible injury.

Judge is going to be an important player for us next season! His energy and creativity are excellent.

Town Confirm Norwood Signing
at 11:30:40

Great to finally get this deal over the line. Seems it has been sealed for a few weeks but obviously Tranmere winning the playoffs and Norwood going on holiday meant this was the earliest opportunity to announce it.

I think we need a right back, left back, central defender and another striker, and possibly a holding midfielder.
