Nah - when we lost Didz and Waghorn. Christ it was poor. A teM of triers. McCarthy could only make a silk purse out of a sows ear for so long. Still, those dark days are behind us now. Love this current team like none other. |

Good for us that this is working out, regardless of where OH ends up - Chelsea (and similar) will see the value we add and be more encouraged to lend us other talent |

What I don't understand is why we don't let him go - with a decent % sell-on fee. Would be best to accept a low-ish up-front offer, get his wages out of the door, and then reap the benefit if he kicks on. |

Exactly what I was thinking Norwich - move Broadhead up front. Not a Hirst replacement as such, but much more mobile than Ladapo. Then sign a target man (on loan?) also. |

Harness does seem to do better as a sub. Hirst seems very off thr pace at the moment. Jackson is a good worker but v little end product - again, better off the bench against tiring legs. Generally a reasonable performance against a team who are no mugs (beat Norwich, drew at Southampton), and which we deserved to win IMO. |

Broadhead, Chaplin so important to us. Burgess and Wolfie awesome at the back. Jackson put a real shift in. Subs were mixed - Omari dangerous as usual, but we lost a bit of shape. Scarlett is yet to impress - very poor when he came on. |

But, kudos to Hladky - not many of us would have predicted that he’d be in OUR team, let alone the Championship team of the season (so far). So good with his feet. |

Because it’s a team of individuals, rather than a ‘good team’ - every midfielder that’s there has been banging the goals in, it’s totally unbalanced and wouldn’t work as a team. As usual the creative players get the glory, but we all know that Morsy (and Luongo) are immense, the former utterly vital. As long as he goes under the radar of the Egyptian national team so we don’t lose him January I am happy! |
| News Comment | Broadhead Nominated For Goal of the Month at 15:28:14
NIce goal, but Dozzell's strike is more explosive, Connolly's header is such a clever finish, and that Leeds goal is just class - what they looked capable of doing every time they went forward in the first half back in August (Prem strikeforce, League 1 defence...) |
| News Comment | Scott Duncan - Football's Forgotten Man at 15:00:35
Fascinating article. I understood he was a key figure in our history but didn’t quite appreciate quite how much. To think there were days we could blow Man Utd away financially!…maybe he becomes the third statue outside PR - with McKenna to take the fourth in a few years time… |

Come on Egypt! Hope they do so well over their friendlies that there is no chance of a call up for Morsy in January.... |
