At the end of the day you can't blame Crooks if he wants to go to Boro to play back in the Championship. I think we've done a shrewd bit of business by getting in Fraser so whatever we bid for Crooks we can reinvest that money for other players, not sure if we even made a 3rd bid so fair play on Ashton for not getting into a bidding war and paying over the odd for a player in his last season of his contract. On the plus side too he doesn't have to play us in the league so he won't do us any damage. COYB |

PW doesn't want him to sign for a L1 rival, Crooks won't sign a new deal at Rotherham as he wants to play in the Championship? Now if we've made 2 bids, Crooks is well aware of what's going on so if he wasn't interested in playing for us surely he would of said he doesn't want to join us. I've said it before, with good players around him he could shine but for me he just hasn't kicked on. Last season he was always getting booked or getting sent off, could hardly pick a pass and didn't score any goals! If we get a decent fee and replace him with Rakeem Harper we'll have a younger player who has played more games at a higher level than Dozzell, it could turn out to be a win win situation for Town. With the right players around him I think Dozzell will shine, however if the price is right we should get as much as we can for him as he has 3 years left on his contract. Paul Cook clearly knows who he wants and has already signed 2 jems so I'm sure he'll be easily replaced if sold on.
