TBH i tend to think at around Christmas time that season it would have been very short odds on either of them staying at Town . I think most players supported Mick untill the end, why would they not they are pro footballers but i am sure many of them would have been happier to play their football more on the front foot and i think several have since said just that . I also noted that John Walters said that on TV the other night regards the Irish team .

No doubt he had a good game yesterday even the first goal without touching the ball he had a big part in it as four defenders at the back three of them marked Moore leaving a big gap for Ramsey to exploit .Maybe he needed more time here as he has looked a different player since leaving and getting regular starts .

No to think that i might be blaming Pl for the last 10 years is just silly as i think i said i support PL but think some things are not right as yet or similar. I really hope your right and i am overreacting and that we win tomorrow and go on to the Blackpool game in the right frame of mind .I will take that all day long .

No its not just that comment but years of under performing and getting beaten by teams from lower leagues that i am reacting to .

As i have said i dont think its anything to do with the line ups , No argument with the team that has been used, i would prefer a little bit stronger side in the fa cup but thats another issue, I think most players go into games wanting to give their best but think their is a negative subconscious vibe in lesser games that for me needs to change . One of our top players has just said in what he meant to be a positive interview 'i know the league is more important two days before a cup game !

Are we supporting Denmark tonight?

But i dont think they would have scored if they had not been one down. For me they failed to qualify because they scored 7 goals in 8 matches . Think thats right .

I agree with what you say but is our poor form that we so often show in these matches just down to team selection ?

I think my point is being missed somewhat .I really believe its a mindset thing if a player or players or even other squad menbers go into a game with the thought in his head, that this game does not matter so much the chances are that team will lose . I do not think any loss particularly a loss to a team seen as inferior to us can possible help in any way . I think in these, lesser games if you like, the will to win and the need to approach the game and to give 100% for the team has to be the same as i think the will to win just cannot be switched on and off . I worry that this the present thinking at town might bite us in the bum . I think we rarely seem to do well after losing a cup game or after an internation break, hopefully to can correct that in the next few days, Pl has said he is not superstitious and i'm not either but i dont think that our often poor form after these matches is down to that .

I just hate that phrase .For me the most important thing on any given day is the game we are playing .I don't care if it is a cup game or if it is a league game or even a u23's match when that Ipswich team go on to the pitch that is what should be upper most on those players minds , win this game. Paul Lambert has done lots of good things since he has been our manager and has my full support but failure to install this sort of mindset could well stop us from getting to where we want this club to be . Just my thoughts anyone anything to add ?

And are you not worried about the loss of momentum, poor results in 3 of our last 6 matches, and the fact that our first team will not have played for 18 days when we have our next very important league game that's quickly followed by another ? Football managers often say players play too many games but they also say players need to play to be match sharp !

Main worry must be loss of momentum and the fact that when we play Blackpool out first team will not have played for about 18 days ! is that the best preparation for an important game ? Suppose time will tell .
