My mates a Coventry fan. Had hospitality tickets. Got there today at Wembley and was told the company who owned the box had double booked and he has lost out. Been assured that he will get a full refund but unfortunately despite desperately searching for two regular tickets, he was unable to find them. So he’s currently in a pub near Wembley gutted to be missing out what I would assumed is a match in a lifetime. |

Even if they’re 3/1, that’s 17/1 the treble..
Which I grant you is still not 33s but even if they win all three, it’s odds on that we and Leicester still finish above them.
33/1 saints top 2 is a poor bet in comparison to 17/1 on individual Southampton match wins. |

Yeah you’re right. I knew that the but I’ve worded it horribly.
Basically they have to win both to stop us winning promotion at hull if Leeds also cooperate with Operation Believe! |

Can get 8/15.
5/2, 8/15 and then let’s say 7/2 to win at Leeds works out to 25/1. So not quite 33s but you’d have the insurance that even if they won all three, you’d be paid out.
Whereas it’s now quite likely that even if they win all three, they still finish below Leicester and us. Maybe Leeds too. But very much Leicester and us. |

We could be mathematically promoted by this time next week.
Leeds pick up just 1 point from Boro and QPR and we beat Hull. And Southampton fail to win at both Leicester & Stoke

You’d be better off backing Southampton as a single to win at Leicester, and then roll the profits on for the three games. It’s better because:
1) It will be more than 33s backing them at the prices individually.
2) Even if they win all three, they might have missed out on top 2 anyway. |

There’s a fair few games that don’t involve those at the top this week that actually have a big affect on us.
QPR beating Preston would be disastrous as it’ll keep them up. Whereas a loss and they play on the Friday night next week knowing they have to win against Leeds. Or at least get a result or they could likely be in the bottom three going into the final day. The fixtures for those at the bottom are very kind. QPR needing a result against Leeds next week is obviously to our benefit rather than them being on the beach.
Cov beating United would be great. Would surely mean they make a million changes against us with the cup final being a few days later.
Hull getting beat by whoever they’re playing, whilst that helps the Scum, is good for us as it’ll kill of their chances of the playoffs and should as a result make the game against us of no importance to them by the time we play them (it being the evening kickoff). |

What’s the biggest match for us? The one where we will all know we’ve a real chance of seeing a result go our way.
I’d say Leeds away at Boro has a chance of being fruitful.
As a completely random note, we could do with QPR losing this week to Preston. If they lose, they’ll go in to that Friday night game the week after against Leeds knowing a win keeps them up. But that a loss puts them up sh*t creek.If they win this week, they'll be almost definitely safe and on the beach. |

I have a lucky 15 with Man City, Mansfield and Bolton to win their leagues plus us. It’s affectively a double of us and city at best now as Mansfield and Bolton have choked. We were 11/1 and City 4/6 so it still pays a healthy profit but not as much as if one of the other two could’ve held their nerve |

Would take a very very unlikely set of results for us to get to 95 now and NOT go up.
Because even if Southampton win all 5 games left for them and get to 96 points, they’ll have beaten Leeds in that which means the latter can only get to 93. They’d have also beaten Leicester which would mean Leicester would need 7 points from WBA, Preston (a) and Blackburn. Which is tough.
If Southampton can beat Leeds and Leicester but drop a point somewhere else (any of the other three games), we’d be up 100% with 2 wins from here.
It feels like a bad result yesterday but in context, we’ve gained on Leeds and Leicester this week when they played two teams battling relegation. It’s a great weekend for us really. |

As many of you might remember, I’ve been excellent over the years with this race with multiple winners posted on TWTD. In the last few years alone I’ve had One For Arthur (tipped on here at 25/1 antepost) and Tiger Roll (5/1) win as well as place money for 6 others from 10 horses. Last years two tips Vanillier and Gaillard Du Mesnil were second and third at 20/1 and 10/1 respectively.
This year, I have backed two:
- Kitty’s Light antepost at 28/1
- Mr Incredible at 16/1

Had Leeds on the tv and Leicester on my usual stream on the IPad. Unbeatable evening!
Win our next two and we’re genuinely going to be going to Hull after our break knowing we will need something like 5 points from our last 3 to go up. (Assuming Leeds will not win every game hntil the last day). Crazy. |

Whilst I myself am willing to drop it for a few weeks til the post season, I’m incredibly disappointed and will be absolutely fuming if the same situation occurs in the playoffs if we find ourselves in them.
Because let’s face it if we play any of Cov, Scum or West Brom (the only three possible opponents realistically), it’ll sell out. If I find out West Ham Dave from security’s wife who hates football has a ticket to the game and I don’t, I think that would be the biggest own goal imaginable from Ashton. He’s a lot of credit in the bank but it would be a huge **** you to those of us who miss out (again). |
