Fantastic defensive performance and got the rub of the green our hard work deserved up front. Boro only carved out one goal scoring opportunity of note, Tommy Smith was immense and Stearman made a big difference to the way we played. Allowed us to make better use of Edwards' defensive ability, who as a result had his best game for some time. McGoldrick was excellent and the competition for places in our squad is now very good, all three subs brought something different and kept Boro on their toes. A very pleasing result against a side who in all honesty are better than us, but got comprehensively outplayed on the day. |
